Sadly, on my first night there, I realized my handicapped friend needed a wheelchair accessible room. Staff were able to accommodate the room change the next day. There is a mall across the street which has restaurants, groceries, etc. But please guest services, if you are sick stay home 🙏

The room was very outdated. I was under the impression that we booked a refurbished room but ours was not in updated condition. Beds were not comfortable, air conditioner was VERY LOUD, buzzing sound all night, carpet was dirty and our kids feet were black from walking on the rug. Pool and spa were nice. Sliding door to grass area was convenient and fun for kids to go outside. Location convenient to UCSB, SBCC, and downtown.

We stayed on the refurbished side which was nice. Our room had a patio that led to the pool and jacuzzi which would had been wonderful if the pool and jacuzzi were in service. They were gated and under construction so that sucked. I wish the property had mentioned that upon booking because that was the selling point for me. The walls are very thin and the staffs radios are super loud. Check out is at 11 that’s nice however cleaning starts around 7 so might as well get up because it’s LOUD! Not sure if I’d stay again unfortunately.

Photos showed updated rooms similar to other hotels in the area but upon arrival got a very dated room with damp carpet, a broken window, and a couple lights that didn’t work. Brought the issues to the staff who moved us to another non updated room. If we had known that we weren’t getting the room we booked we would have stayed somewhere else. Breakfast also wasn’t available although it was an option when booking. I guess that they should have at least notified guests that they are under renovation before booking which they did not.

This place is a little old, like a motel setting. Best Western plus at a lot of other places will provide free breakfast, but not this one. The air conditioner was pretty loud, bathroom is small and seems did not have ventilation fan, you have to open the top small window. Room size was OK, beds were pretty comfortable. It seems there is some type of maintenance going on in one of the buildings, there was a lot of pickup trucks which made the parking less convenient. Staff are friendly.
