Ski in Ski out chalet with hot tub - Walk to the Village

This home is a ski-in ski-out home located at the end of Chutes Lane, which is a heated street, above the Schweitzer Village. There is a ski path located directly to the Village next to the house for easy access by ski or by foot. Ski directly to the front door. Unbelievable sunrise and sunset views of the lake and the mountain! Sit in your very large, 8 person private hot tub, and watch the skiers do tricks in the Stomping Grounds Terrain Park if you look up mountain, or enjoy the beautiful views of the lake if you look down mountain. The skiers are so close you can almost touch them when they ski by while you sit in the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. There are 3 bedrooms on the second level of the home, which is a private lock-off unit, all with King sized beds, and there are 2 bathrooms, and a laundry area. There is a full sized refrigerator and a kitchenette also located on the second level of the home, and a private BBQ and fire pit located outside on the 3rd level deck. The owners of the home live on the 3rd level, and will be present all Winter in case you need anything, but the rental space on the second level is completely private, and it has a keypad security system. The only shared space is the stairway and the garage, which is used as a private ski locker for our guests with plenty of room for all your ski equipment, and plenty of racks for hanging up clothing. Parking for 3 cars is available for renters in the heated driveway. This home has a 3 night minimum stay policy. It is very important to understand that this rental is for the second floor of the home ONLY, which is a private lock-off 3 BD/2 BA with kitchenette, not the entire home. Great location, panoramic views
Prime location for ski in/ski out. Beautifully styled with a private hot tub deck that overlooks Pend Oreille Lake. The property owners, Kirk and MJ, are so hospitable and friendly. Convenient access to the village. Next time we come back to Schweitzer Mountain, we will definitely check availability of this property first.

Perfect for a ski weekend with friends
The unit had everything we needed for a ski weekend with friends. Lots of space for ski gear and a great hot tub to ease those sore muscles! Kirk and MaryJo were great to work with and even gave us a little bonus time to enjoy the powder. We will definitely be putting this unit on our favorites list!

Best Spot on the Mountain - Felt Like a Local
First time at Schweitzer and it felt like we belonged. Beyond this property being prime ski-in ski-out, it has everything we needed for apres ski and a short walk into the village for dinner. Kirk & Mary Jo are amazing hosts ready to fold you in or let you do you own thing (like soak in the private hot tub with mimosas!) The house has EVERYTHING. This is the spot.

One of the best
Second time at this property. We absolutely love the house, the location, and the hosts. True ski-in, ski-out and in case you don’t want to ski to the house, it’s a 5 minute walk to the village. The house is gorgeous, modern, clean, and spacious. I see things here that make me think that I wish I had done that in my own house :). The hosts, Kirk and MJ, are super friendly and helpful. This is probably my favorite short term rental of all time.

Such an amazing stay!
We simply loved our time with Kirk and MJ! The house was perfect and we were able to relax the entire week. The location is right on the slopes and it was a dream to be able to ski in/out on this beautiful mountain. We used the hot tub every afternoon and drinking wine around the fire pit with epic views was amazing. We made life long friends and will be back soon. Thank you both for an amazing week!

This property is so beautiful with priceless views! From linens to cozy beds, amazingly hot tub and wonderful hosts to make sure we had absolutely everything we could possibly need. We can’t wait to stay here again!

The best of vrbo
This was, hands down, the best place I’ve stayed at on vrbo or any other rental platform. And it’s not close. The hosts, Kirk and MJ, make it all truly special by being extremely nice, communicative, and helpful. The property itself is beautiful - only about five years old, beautiful, modern, spacious. But the combo of beautiful, clean house with wonderful hosts really puts this place at the top of my list. It’s truly ski in, ski out. Or if you prefer, it’s an easy five minute walk to the village and chair lifts. You have a private hot tub on a balcony with a view down the mountain to the lake. The interior is gorgeous with raised ceilings, modern design and warm wood accents. The beds are large and comfortable, all the furniture and fixtures are high end. It’s like the kind of place I would furnish for myself, as opposed to a place that is set up for renters. They didn’t cut any corners. I can’t think of anything negative to say. I’d come back here in a heartbeat.

We loved the property having 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms for our family of five. The access to the village and ski lifts is next to the house. Very clean and has all of the ammenities for a comfortable stay.

Ski trip
Truly excellent location - a real ski in, ski out place. The accommodations are clean and comfortable with quality bedding and appliances. This is a place for those who are really into skiing, as opposed to 'entertaining', because it only has a kitchenette. For us it was perfect - we were 3 dads and 3 boys, all there to ski as much as we could. We used the grill on the deck every night. The hot tub is awesome - probably the best view from any hot tub I have ever sat in. The owners are so friendly and helpful (and knowledgeable of the mountain)...they really made our trip that much better. Highly recommend!
