Allocated a pet friendly room conveniently on the 1st floor, upon arrival in the room had a bath not a shower which wasn’t quite indicated on booking. Thought all en-suite rooms had a shower, as per photos seen, thus couldn’t use a bath due to physical disability.
In this room, there was a very large stain on the carpet, and generally dirty spots all round. I appreciate this was a pet friendly type room but took photos so that the hotel didn’t think me/my dogs were responsible.
Upon highlighting to reception appeared to be aware of it??
The cover on my duvet had quite prominent stains on it in several places. Again mentioned to reception.
Managed to change rooms after 1 night, which was good, however, the new room, although a very nice single, was in an annex part of the hotel on the second floor which was a long way to accommodate dog’s ablutions etc.
Hotel is generally in desperate need of repairs/refurbishment to the outside and some inside rooms.
On the plus side, although the front garden area is in need of some tender loving gardening care, it is a lovely peaceful area to sit quietly and relax. However, I did empty their overflowing ashtrays for them after 3 days, as nobody else seemed too willing to do this little job.
Staff were helpful and happy particularly in the Restaurant Area, a couple elsewhere less so.
Restaurant dinner x 3 courses, eaten in half hour. Edible but processed/plated food.
NOISY at night, voices carry, doors bang, my dogs bark! Can’t sleep well!
