Okay hotel in San Vincente, room was nice but bed was very uncomfortable. Didn't have AC and I couldn't keep the windows open since it's right by the road. Location was right next to the castle and downtown so was very convenient.
We have stayed at this property a number of times, we like the hotel, the only problem is the lack of parking at the hotel. We ended up parking at a public car park about 500 yards from the hotel.
Our standard room was pretty ordinary, but the hotel has good views from the terrace. Easy checkin process.

A centrally located hotel
We stayed for 2 nights in early October. San Vicente de Barquera is a small seaport town with lots of bars and restaurants, and old castle and a couple of churches. The hotel was 5 minutes walk from the main area and was quiet. The rooms were smallish and looked a little tired but were clean and tidy. The hotel did not seem as friendly as some of the other hotels we stayed in during out 2 week touring holiday, but the staff on the whole, were helpful when necessary.

Location. Staff.
The location is superb.
The staff were brilliant.
Bar and food service really good.
View from hotel is spectacular.
Clean, pleasant & comfortable Hotel in central location, with nice views.
Breakfast at 9 euros had a nice variety, although basically continental there were hard boiled eggs, cheese, dried meats, yoghurt, fruit, nuts - various pastries & breads as well as coffee etc. (soya milk).
Staff very professional & helpful
Was pleasant and hotel is close to the town. Beds not comfortable, no air conditioning except for a fan in the room, no air con / fan in the bathroom however - would stay again as family is in the area. NO parking and that available in the town is expensive
The area is beautiful: the coast is all hidden coves and beaches, with amazingly blue water. San Vicente is at the edge of a big natural park, so there's lots of hiking nearby. The hotel was very nice, bright and modern, and our room had a lovely view over the bridge and bay. It's just across a short bridge from the restaurants and the castle--a quick walk. We had a great time, and enjoyed excellent seafood.
We have stayed at this hotel many times and love it. The location is great for access to the town and its many restaurants, the views from the balcony are fab and we have found the service to be excellent . Convenient for access to Santander and the Picos area. We will continue to stay here when we are in the area.

Nice place!
Very nice hotel, nice room, but the bathroom smelled bad
Delightful young staff. Limited evening menu. Close to the life of the town, and great , atmospheric seafood restaurants. But also on top of the fiesta. The band played until 4am. Small room. No aircon. No safe. No fridge. No comfortable chair to relax. No onsite parking. Great place to visit, but we will not stay in this hotel again.
Totally enjoyable experience. Will definitely return to this hotel. Only slight problem was there is no hotel parking. You have to park on street, and as the hotel is at the bottom of a hill you may have 100 metre walk uphill to your car. But overall it was worth it.
