We are Marriott lovers! This property was undergoing renovation - which is fine. But when we asked if they had any food amenities for sale since the gift shop is closed, staff said no. Then, by accident, went into the Business Center and found a refrigerator, a freezer, and cabinet all stocked with beer, wine, ice cream, lotions, aspirin, etc. all for sale. Also asked one afternoon where we could get pizza. The Concierge gave us the names and numbers for 2 pizza places. We called, no one spoke English. We tried their websites, but they were in Spanish only. The next day, talking to the bar staff, we found out the Marriott made pizza every day until 6 pm. Better communication and training definitely needed! Housekeeping was exceptional! Pleasant, thorough and accommodating. Pool and bar staff great! Location good for walkers like us. Excellent beach and amenities! Will definitely come back!

The hotel was good and clean, staff was friendly. However there was a lot of fees for example $45 “resort fee” per day and $25 per day for parking, in addition to other minor daily fees that added up quickly. Seemed excessive since we had already paid a decent amount to stay at this hotel.

The Courtyard is a great beach destination with Old San Juan just minutes away. The beach is literally right outside the back door. The front desk staff is amazing, and they work to make sure you have everything you need. That cleaning staff is also excellent, the room was clean and orderly each day I returned from outings. The restaurant and food available is very good. The staff at the beach bar need to up their game. You could stand for two minutes with no other customers at the bar before a bartender even acknowledges you. This was not single occurrence but all, and the bartenders would just be talking among themselves. All you have to do is acknowledge I am there. I spent a lot of time at the cabana, and comments were consistently made about the beach bars lack of service. The hotel was under renovation while I was there. This had the lobby bar, coffee shop, and lounge area closed. Not a big deal and wasn’t a huge problem, but I would have liked to have known before I got there. It was not a problem really. The restaurant makes excellent espresso and cappuccino. Uber is the best option for transport is you are planning to spend you vacation between here and Old San Juan or locally. If you plan to travel out, the hotel’s cost for parking is reasonable and like everywhere else. The garage is super easy to access and convenient. Great selection for a beach getaway with alternative options in PR. This was my second visit.

I liked how the hotel was right on the beach. As far as convenience, it is a 5 minute drive to the airport, but you wouldn’t think you were that close. Also it is in walking distance to multiple stores and restaurants. Mostly everything we did it was within a 15 minute Uber ride. We felt safe at the resort.

This is not the first time staying here. Even though the bar and ice cream shop are being remodeled the lobby was elegant. We didn’t even notice the noise from the construction. The staff is extremely polite and friendly. Definitely going back soon.

Second time here, they are doing renovations/remodel right now. Don’t think it’s worth the price and a resort fee and if you have a car plus parking. There was no noticed on the website or hotels.com that renovations where going on. Would have stayed somewhere else if I would have know that.
