We had a great stay at Coral by the sea during our trip to the island, especially given the circumstances surrounding the 3-day power outage during New Year’s Eve. While the island struggled with no power, this hotel had a generator that kept everything running smoothly—allowing us to have light, water, and air conditioning, which was a huge relief! The pool area was lovely and a great place to relax, and the staff were consistently pleasant and accommodating throughout our stay. It’s clear they prioritize guest comfort, even in challenging situations. Overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and would recommend this hotel for those seeking reliable service and a peaceful retreat. Would definitely return!

This place it’s very old. Extremely hard to find late at night. Small and the rooms don’t have working TV, no inside phones so you can’t call reception if you need anything. Beds not very comfortable. The elevator it’s from the 1900

Rooms need major makeover! The room door didn’t even have a proper lock from the inside it only had a door chain! Location is Great, 8 mins to SJU.

The place is old and dingy. The toilet flushed sometimes and the shower tub filled up. The hot water spot was hard to find and getting the faucet into the off position was hard to find. Hardly any outlets for charging. Rusty fridge, old sink and everything else seemed old and needed replacement.

The place is clean. It is perfect if you want to stay in as clean place that is not expensive for the great area. But it’s very no frills. Great breakfast and restaurant in premises. Pool is very cute.

The stay was convenient but the hotel could really use an upgrade. My rooms problems: bathroom sink doesn’t drain well, shower head fell off and the bathroom door was jammed shut. My husband had to rescue me out of the bathroom. lol We had lots of laughs on our vacation and during the stay in our room!

It's decent
It's a basic hotel in a good location. If you're looking for some place high end, this is not it. My boyfriend and I found this hotel last minute for Christmas. Yes it's dated could use some renovations, but there's daily cleaning & housekeeping, two great restaurants attached to the property, 5 min walk to the beach, walking distance to shops & public transportation. The air conditioning worked fine, and the water pressure in the shower was great! Bed could have been a little more comfortable but we slept just fine. Aside from the airport noise nearby it's pretty quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel for someone looking to crash for a night or two.

Parking lot looks like a junker, water coming out of shower because lack of attention to details such as properly sealing borders, bathroom faucet was dancing like ballerina, room had many broken details in electrical parts and cabinets; TV and cable connections were not properly secured. I didn't feel secure. The door didn't close fully making me worry that someone could open the door at any time. There was noise early in the morning as remodeling work was being done around the building, and I was not informed about this. They should add that notice to the website to be considered before booking.
