There were many dining options literally within 3-5 min walk. The atmosphere was calm and the installations (pool and green area were beautiful). A cozy hideaway so close to San Jose was hard to believe, but it is true and loved it. Will stay there again in near future.

Convenient SJO stay
This was a one night stay close to the airport. The hotel was just okay for that purpose. It was supposedly a newer hotel but it seemed older and not modernized. It was conveniently located and connected to another hotel via a cat walk so you could eat and shop without leaving the property if you didn’t have transportation. There was a $7.00 pp charge to use their shuttle to go to the hotel but it was easy to reserve. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They do only offer one free breakfast per room and it cost I believe $14 for each other person so be aware of that. They are connected to some restaurants, a casino and then a Dennys is just on the other side. All walkable. It’s off season so a lot of food options weren’t available and they only had 1 washer and 2 dryers for the entire property. There’s a golds gym sharing a parking lot and Holiday Inn is on the other side. Overall for a one night stay it was fine.

Had a great time staying here. The staff was great and the food options within the hotel were delicious. The woman at the front desk when we checked in was so helpful and I'll definitely stay here again.

This building belonged to the old Holiday inn. They still share amenities, but the building itself is in bad shape compared to the one managed by Holiday inn. The Hotel Irazu is nice for the price.
