Loved the room even though a little bit older and paint peeling. The size was amazing for the price. Had a homeless couple off the back patio on the walking path 1st thing in the morning. Area is a lottle sketchy but I guess is expected when near the beach. Staff was awesome, and check in was fast and smooth. Appreciate not being charged for parking since I have a handicapped placard.

Doors can’t lock.
The location is great and the room has a nice roku tv with a microwave, fridge and hairdryer. But one thing that was concerning that the doors couldn’t lock… the front door couldn’t lock but there was a lock that can be placed on the top of the door which I guess good? The back sliding door couldn’t lock at all so anyone could have opened it. The bathroom door can’t be closed all the way it gets stuck also. Hopefully it was only that room that has those problems because I would like to stay again in that hotel because it’s close to everything that I wanna see in San Diego and it’s not expensive to stay.

A decent place to sleep at with right price. I thought parking was free but no, there’s another fee for parking per night. Also need to request for different pillows and bedsheets because it’s dirty, looks like they haven’t change it . You really are going to get what you paid for. If you’re looking for a cheap place just to sleep in. This is a decent place but like I said, you get what you paid for.

Decent place for the price..
Pros: -Close to Dog Beach and in a very quiet area. -Lots of options for food/ bars nearby -Comfortable beds -Good sized rooms -Friendly staff -Dog friendly rooms have a back patio you can let your furry friends out into a fenced area Cons: -Very dated and not very well maintained -Very tight parking on the property -Downstairs rooms are loud- you can hear every footstep from the upstairs guests. This was the worst part about the room. -Bathrooms are clean, but rather dilapidated. Overall- for the ~$80/ night it was worth it, but during the busy season rates are double and I would be truly disappointed. Also- despite not parking in their space, I was going to be charged for parking- so check your bill before you leave for incidental charges. Also(2), right in the flight path for San Diego International and it is a constant flow of jets overhead, but I did not hear any of that inside the room. Overall a great little place if you plan to NOT spend a lot of time in the room (just a place to sleep).

When I checked in I was given a key to a room that was already occupied. I found this out when I opened the door and was greeted by a sleeping family. The front desk guy was more irritated than apologetic. There were earwigs in the bathroom. The room in general looked like someplace Charles Bukowski would have lived.

It's unfortunate because the property is a great layout for pets and the enclosed pet area is very nicely thought out and has supplies avail to clean up after your pet, and appears to be well taken care of. Our room however was a completely different story. Paint peeling off walls, questionably clean floors, tattered curtains, furniture that looked like it was found curbside, horrible wifi reception, more rust on the shower rod than metal, ridiculous amounts of dust on ceiling fan and vents, the absolute worse sand paper towels I've ever used. The people working the front desk were nice. Maybe they just don't tend to their "pet friendly" rooms, because the pictures were much nicer than the reality. Best way I can describe the upkeep in the room is it was like a very old gas station restroom found off some obscure rural highway. But my dog loved it and walking out the slider and having a great, safe pet run available was awesome. Not going back though unless they bring it up to an acceptable standard.

I paid $115 for a family of 5. Sofa bed was a small couch that folded into a bed that isn’t very comfortable. Also, it’s double beds not queen. But it was clean and the people there are nice and helpful. 15 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops in OB and steps from the beach. Can’t beat it for the price but it’s barebones. Food truck outside is awesome
