Hotel was super gorgeous, great views, and had everything we needed. Beautiful garden and terrace. It was a pain to park. The staff wanted you super close to the sidewalk, so rims get scratched. Then there is a mandatory staff escort to the parking lot. Before my flight, the staff wanted me to wait a few minutes until other guests left—- did not appreciate having to wait when other staff said we could just take the key to open the offsite parking on our own. WiFi was not stable.

Disliked: Staff & service
I was robbed and beat up by 6 men outside hotel property. Police refused to help and escorted me in to the hotel. I requested an ambulance by the night clerk and he rudely said he wasnt calling anyone. That i was fine and i should go to sleep or leave the property. I had to endure a 24hrs of pain amd hunger in my room for 24 hrs until i had the strenght to clean up and go downstairs. A second night clerk kindly warmed up some tamales for me after the restaurant closed and gave me some pain medecine. I left the hotel after the sedond night to recover at a hospital in another city. Hotel refused to refund my third and fourth night despite their written policy stating if you need medical care, a doctor would be called. Very dissatisfied overall. As far as the property. Its mexico. You get what you pay for.
Be aware of possible fraud in this location. I have traveled around the world and visited Mexico countless times. I have also used hotels.com many instances and NO ONE has ever made a copy of my identification with the attempts to keep it. The receptionist asked for an identification which was fine. He went and said I will be right back, never saying what he was doing with it. When he came back he said to sign a form and I took a glance at the paper he was holding and it was a copy of my identification. I asked why he had made a copy of my id and he said it was policy. So I told him that no hotel had ever done that, they may take a copy of my cc for accidentals but never just of my id. He started getting nervous, and then when I asked for the name of his supervisor he said he couldn't give it to me. NOW I was extra concerned. He can take an identification that has my full name, address, and date of birth but he can't give me the name of his supervisor?. As I continue to push for it, he said: "fine, here just keep the copy". Very fishy and when I later asked if this was a policy to another receptionist she said NO. Please be aware of this !!!
Nice hotel with a beautiful balcony over looking the city. You relax there and have a coffee and enjoy your morning. A little walk will take you to the main drag and central plaza. Hotel is clean and comfortable.
Good price and beautiful garden. As is the case with most of San Cristobal, there was no internal heating so it got pretty cold on the coldest nights. The WiFi basically didn't work for anything beyond email, but this was the case with most of San Cristobal (even the restaurants downtown).
Bad service!!! the hotel didn´t have a room for us, even when I did my reservation and paid for it 2 months before. Bad attitude of the employees.
Don´t choose this hotel ever!!!!!!
The hotel is pleasant and welcoming, 2-4 blocks from the center of town and the main pedestrian walkway. There is a pleasant breakfast restaurant and the rooms are off a pleasant courtyard. The rooms are a bit small but quite workable. Our only regret is having booked a tour from the hotel. After assuring us costs were as in town we learned we over paid by half.
it was a very poor service, i stayed two nights and they didn't clean the room. i had problems on check in cause they wanted to charge me again the reservation i had already paid in advance on hotels.com . They had to change my room cause previous guest didn't checkout on time. it's on a nice location, close to the main pedestrian walk and cathedral, it has a really pretty garden and its not expensive at all, i wouldn't recommend it because of the very poor and unfriendly service
