Nice property but unfortunate experience
We chose this property because the listing said it was 1.5 miles from the JW Marriott Hill Country where our conference was & we planned on taking Uber. The community gate to the property was 3 miles to the door of the home which caused us to spend more for transportation. Had we known, we would have rented a car. Additionally, the listing had pictures of a drip coffee maker & there was a Keurig; we had bought ground coffee. The house wasn't guest ready: maintenance issues, no pots, pans, bowls, very minimal utensils, not enough blankets which wouldn't work for 8 adults. This needs to be improved and should be monitored by the host. Upon arrival in the late evening we discovered the toilet was not flushing. Very early the next morning we contacted the host asking for a plunger. Upon clearing the clog and flushing, we found sewage back up into the shower which filled half of the shower pan. The host, Hilda, was rude and not helpful blaming us for the sewer issue. The information for maintenance in the host book wasn't accurate as that person hadn't worked for Hilda for 2 years. Eventually the owner arrived on scene on our 3rd day out of 4 days of the reservation to address the sewer issue & the septic tank had to be emptied leaving us without access to toilets and running water our 2nd day. The owner was nice & refunded us 50% of nightly rate. The property is beautiful & spacious, but Hilda should make it guest ready & be nice. Not RV ready either b/c low branches.
