This is a clean, modern hotel in walking distance to Salzburg city centre, and just a 3 minute walk from the rail station.
The breakfast was nice, I would recc. adding this onto the booking.
Rooms were clean, however I think carpets inside the room would be a better touch, rather than hard laminate flooring.
One complaint I do have, is as I checked in, I was advised this hotel is an eco-friendly hotel, and if we wanted our room serviced each night. I am all for being eco-friendly, in the sense of reusing towels etc and not replenishing, but the whole point of a hotel is that your room is serviced in your absence, and you come back to a fresh room. I would've booked an Airbnb instead otherwise.
Another issue was that there are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. Again, I'm all for being eco-friendly and I was advised there was a kettle, water and fruit at Reception to use/consume. I was then told that I would need to purchase the tea/coffee and then use the facilities. Again, who would do this? Common sense would be to just go down the road and buy a cheap tea/coffee.
Although the property was clean, breakfast was decent and hotel was modern, I feel this 4* hotel would in my opinion be downgraded to 2/3* based on the above issues we had. I am all for being eco-friendly, but I think there is an element of financial gain here as well, which was not a nice balance and morally just wrong.
