Disappointing Stay, Decent Communication
We stayed here for a few days for a hospital visit in the area. There are two rental units and it was confusing which one we were assigned to, we found it kind of hidden in a message somewhere. Check-in was fine, but we had to find instructions (Apt #, code...) in different places, some in vrbo, some on an outside app.The area felt a little shady, but everything was behind gates so that wasn't an issue.When we got into the apartment it smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. I'm still unsure of whether someone smoked in there or it was a neighboring apartment or what, but it came and went during our stay. Also, when we first got in there the smoke alarm was out of batteries and beeping like crazy. We didn't have a battery so we had to go buy one to replace it. Later when we returned, the OTHER smoke alarm was out of batteries and going off. Again, no batteries, so we had to go find some to buy at like midnight.The place was mostly clean, but there hairs on the towels. The shower hadn't been decalcified so it was uncomfortably strong.There were no kitchen trash bags, only one extra bathroom trash bag, so we had to make do with that. There were no tide pods for laundry like the checking materials said there would be. There was 1.5 rolls of toilet paper, just barely enough for our stay. Also no place to put the toilet paper.Overall a pretty disappointing stay. We just stayed at the hospital after a couple of days to get away from the cigarette smell.Internet was good though.
