PLEASE NOTE THE COTTAGE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN DUE TO THE STEEPNESS OF THE STAIRS

Nestled in the heart of the village of Nomansland in the north of The New Forest National Park, surrounded by beautiful views and extensive forest walks directly from the front door, this detached cob cottage is ideal for those in search of exercise and relaxation in stunning natural surroundings.

Yew Tree Cottage has parts dating back 300 years; it has ceiling heights that are low in places and nothing is "quite straight" but this only adds to its quirkiness, charm and character. It has recently been sympathetically and simply restored.

The cottage has two bedrooms, and can accommodate three people. Upstairs, there is a master bedroom, with a king size bed and a Smart TV, leading onto a separate study/ sitting area to relax or catch-up with work and a single bedroom. The stairs are original and steep, making the property not suitable for mobile, young children.

Downstairs is a small but well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, induction hob, oven, microwave and butler sink. A dining room leads onto a cosy lounge area with a wood burning stove to relax in front of whilst reading, listening to music on the Bluetooth speaker, playing games or watching a film on the Smart TV.

The bathroom has been tastefully renovated to offer the choice of a relaxing bath or an overhead invigorating shower.

The cottage is dog friendly and there is a fully enclosed front gravel area and a wilder back garden. There are plenty of dog walks opposite in the forest.

The garden is south-facing; sit and enjoy a morning coffee on the outdoor seating. There is a gas Weber BBQ.

There is parking for one car on the verge outside the cottage and further parking is available a few steps away in the local forest car park, opposite The Lamb Inn.

With the traditional village pub, The Lamb Inn and a delicious French restaurant, Les Mirabelles a few steps away, this cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the wild beauty of the wider New Forest area.

There are many local places to visit including Salisbury, Romsey, Winchester, Bournemouth or Southampton. There are beaches within a 30 minute drive. Paultons Park with Peppa Pig world is a 10 minutes drive away. There are plenty of local golf courses and driving ranges. Cinemas, indoor trampoline parks, inflatable water parks are all within a 30 minute drive.
During your stay at this cottage, you'll be close to Paultons Family Theme Park - Home of Peppa Pig World. Enjoy your stay with amenities like a TV and a refrigerator in the cottage.

Fabulous little gem

The cottage was ideally located on the edge of the forest a stone's throw from a village pub and fantastic French restaurant.

What an absolutely beautiful cottage which has been sympathetically restored to a very high standard. Very well equipped with everything we needed for our short break. The stairs are a challenge especially if like us oldies you need the loo (downstairs) in the night! Location was perfect for us with the dog, just across the road into the forest for easy dog walks. Overall first class and would definitely book again next time we head to the new forest.

Lovely Cosy Cottage

The cottage was lovely, clean and fresh. There was attention to detail with the welcome hamper, dog treats and bowls and having washing tabs etc all at ease was great. The communication was good with Jane from Mudhuts responding to any of our queries before and throughout our stay.We very much enjoyed the woodlands, literally on the doorstep, and were lucky that for most of our stay the weather was dry so we could be out and about. We saw ponies and a stag and enjoyed beautiful woods. The Lamb pub was very friendly. We did eat there; the quality was fair, but the staff were nice and welcomed our dog too. On a rainy day we went into Salisbury and had a wonder round, we ate lunch at Hixon, which was very nice. Great few days escape from the norm. routine.
