Tamarinde

This lovely holiday house is overlooking the valley, set between Montignac and Hautefort, and near the famous caves of Lascaux. The terrace and garden of Tamarinde are south-facing and ideal for sunbathing. The swimming pool has great temperatures, as it can be completely covered (and opened completely!) in case the weather is a day not so good (of course this happens rarely in this season…). This romantic, very large typical French cottage in the Dordogne is accessed via a lovely gate and has a wild garden with many different flowers. Tamarinde is ideal to discover the beautiful Dordogne and all its treasures. Dutch and English ànd French channels available.

Interior (250m2)

The large living room (60) and very cosy kitchen are the assets of this lovely holiday home. Cook a meal together and enjoy the French life style, the (Dutch) lady owner of the house has been living here for 40 years and has made a true gem of this holiday house, both the garden and the house itself breath love for the region… For the chilly moments there’s a fireplace for some nice warmth.
There are four bedrooms, two with a double bed, one open bedroom with a bunk bed (60 x 190, only suitable for children) and one bedroom has two beds (80 x 190). Furthermore there are two bathrooms and three toilets.

Exterior

The huge swimming pool 11 x 6 meters is a real surprise. It can be used at all times and the water has wonderful temperatures. Don’t forget to cover the pool at night so the water will stay warm…

As the house is located on a hill, there are stunning views overlooking the valley when sitting in the garden or by the pool. Do go to the back of the garden as there you will have the best views.
Environment

Tamarinde is located in the beautiful nature of the Dordogne, in the triangle of Montignac, Terrasson and Hautefort, many beautiful cities/castles can be visited, but it is also a very nice region to make long walks or go for lunch in one of the fantastic restaurants of the area.

Activities

If you want to be really active you can go to the river for some canoeing or you can rent bikes and enjoy the environment by bike. Furthermore you can go horseback riding, enjoy beautiful walks, visit famous caves, visit beautiful castles, visit charming villages and towns, etc.

This villa offers its guests a water park and an outdoor pool.
