Holiday in the monument combines historic preservation and tourism. Historically valuable Bauzeugen be taken, gently renovated and rented as apartments. The model allows a double win: The monuments received a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is realized by the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Homeland Security.
Parking: The parking lot is located directly at the house and is not covered. The access to the house is guaranteed. In winter, it can happen in heavy snowfall that the roads are not easily passable. Winter tires and snow chains are then an advantage.
By public transport: Take the train to Versam-Safien, then change to the PostBus to "Thalkirch, Camana junction". From Postbus stop, follow the signs for «Camana» and ��Museum», about 15-20 minutes on foot to Nüw Hus. The house is located as a second house above the road right at the entrance to the settlement Innercamana.
Number of persons 10: There is a cot (up to 2 years) available. The house can accommodate ten guests (plus baby). There are three double rooms, a triple room and a single room available. The house is on a slight hillside. The entrance is on the mezzanine floor. There is a kitchen and the living room with adjoining single room. In the 2. Floor can be found the three double rooms and the triple room. The floors are made of wood and stone which is why we recommend good slippers.
Garden: There is plenty of space next to the house, where there is a dining table and benches.
WLAN: In the house you have no WLAN connection.
Open: The house can be rented all year round.
Pets: Pets are allowed on request.

NUEW HUS - Large Walser House with view
History & Information
The blackened by the sun, traditional NUEW Hus (built in 1787) is surrounded by gently sloping meadows, high up on the hillside, from where one has a magnificent view of the mountains. For nearly a hundred years uninhabited, it has been spared from engineering interventions. In its original form is the NUEW Hus represents a unique architectural monument, whose basic structure is extremely well preserved. The NUEW of Hus Hotel's blend of old and new. The modern and comfortable kitchen, which was built in 2007, features a large chimney. The room is equipped with a stone oven, the original Wandtäferung, a baroque wooden ceiling and a built-in room breakfast. Another feature is a narrow, located behind the stove staircase that leads directly to the bedroom.

The original structure has been largely preserved. Until the renovation in 2007, the NUEW Hus had neither water nor electricity. The massive base building has been renovated and provided with additional openings. The roof was resealed.
been Newly installed are a modern, comfortable kitchen with underfloor heating and two simple bathrooms (shower / WC) on the ground floor and another toilet on the first floor. This was set in place a small, new cultivation upstairs.

The NUEW Hus is a monument that has been restored with great regard for the existing substance. The tenant is aware of and meets the object with care. Furthermore, although technologically equipped contemporary, do not comply with certain functional details now common standards and pose a possible safety hazard.
