Renovated historic Craftsman bungalow near Winston Salem and mountain activities

No competing with other guests for space to spread out or putting up with noisy hotels. Enjoy a unique experience, having the whole house and yard to yourself in our newly renovated and fully updated historic Craftsman style bungalow located in a quaint neighborhood. 10 mins to Wake Forest University, 15 mins to downtown Winston Salem, Old Salem and School of the Arts. Convenient to Greensboro, close to vineyards, Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks with access to hiking, biking, tubing, zip lining and other outdoor activities. We have recently added an EV Charger for our guests with electric vehicles.

The house has a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, plus one and a half bathrooms. Two bedrooms with queen size beds in each and a roll away provide ample sleeping area. There is a deck and large front porch as well as a fire pit in the back yard for enjoying the outdoors. The sunroom at the back of the house is great for morning coffee or evening relaxing.
Our customers tell us they can't get enough of the helpful staff at this vacation home. During your stay, you'll be within walking distance of Rural Hall Train Depot. Features include a gym and an arcade/game room. The vacation home offers free WiFi and a kitchen.

Everything was just perfect from the moment we got to our special Christmas house until we left. The house was so clean and welcoming that both of my sons said it was like coming to visit us at our own home. The Christmas decorations put everything over the top we didn’t want to leave. Great Rural Hall Stay
In our second stay at this lovely home we were once again impressed by the attention to detail by the owners to outfit this property to accommodate guests. Bungalow Bliss
This property was a delight. The fire pit, rec room and variety of porches offer an array of activities to rest and relax after experiencing the many outdoor activities in the area. The hosts are friendly and attentive. If you have a dog that travels with you, they have their own welcome basket. I highly recommend this house if you’re looking for a place to stay north of Winston-Salem. Rural Hall is a friendly place!

The bungalow was absolutely perfect for my elderly parents. They needed a comfortable setting for their stay here in NC that was close to the wedding venue in Walnut Cove. The hosts provided every need possible to accommodate them. This bungalow truly felt like home and was clean, spacious and very relaxing. Even the roll away bed was extremely comfortable. Better than I expected!
This lovely home was so much more than I expected and better than the description and pictures. First of all, it is clean and well maintained, which is the most important feature of any VRBO. Beyond that, this home has charm inside and out. We loved the modern updates to the shower and all of the "little things" the hosts Mark and his wife thought of to give the comforts of home. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The sunroom was a nice addition as well as the separate gym/lounge area. The outdoor space had a lot to offer for comfortable seating on the wrap around deck and front porch. The yard was well manicured and full of beautiful flowers and a fish pond. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy it all! If you need a place to stay in the Winston-Salem area, this is the one to choose. We'd definitely love to come back someday.

A 5-star rating is way too low for the Bungalow on Broad. When you enter the house, you feel like you'reentering a dear friend's lovingly restored dream home. So charming. So warm. So clean. Top-notch appliances. Perfectly and thoughtfully appointed with items and touches you don't even find at 5-star hotels. Mark was quick to answer my questions. I'm just sorry I didn't get to meet him and his wife. Next time because there will be a next tome.

This house exceeded our expectations on every level. It was immaculately clean, SO charming, and really comfortable. Absolutely loved this place. Wife and I were in town for Wake Forest Homecoming weekend. Straight shot into campus (15 min) and a Biscuitville 5 min away (IYKYK). Place was immaculate, cute, had everything you need. Mark was beyond nice and welcoming. He even invited us to his Oktoberfest celebration, which we unfortunately were too busy to attend. We will 100% stay here again if the opportunity arises!!!
