It was a good stay, the town is VERY baseball oriented, which if your used to alot of noise all throughout the day & night, this is your spot. Lots of kids, lots of movement! The staff were so nice & really attentive!
The property is old and had an old spell with a hint of mildew. Staff were excellent. We needed an accessible room and they made the change with no problem and on the last day offered to hunt down a luggage cart for us.
I booked this hotel a while ago because my son had a tournament in this area however the tournament was canceled and I thought that I canceled the reservation. Unfortunately, I did not. I contacted hotels.com two days before the day that I was supposed to stay asking for help. I contacted hotel.com because I made the reservation through them. Hotel.com tried to contact the hotel to see if they allow a waiver and cancel the booking without penalty. A hotel representative stated that the manager was not available. Hotels.com tried to contact the hotel's manager for 2 days, but they were unable to reach him/her. And of course, the hotel charged me $222.50 for a no-show. I do not and would not recommend this hotel!
Stay was average. Older hotel. Smoking area right outside the exit door & room was one level above smoking ashtray. I did not realize why I was smelling cigarette smoke until check-out and out of curiosity check the exit door and discovered the smoking area. All smoking areas should be at least 15’ from exit/entrances.
The staff is amazing. Everyone was friendly and quick to answer questions and offer assistance. Our room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely return. Also located very conveniently to food and shopping.
