Summer's End Escape to Tranquility
This newly renovated home has roots going by to the 1700s, but it is now up to date and filled with all of the best creature comforts. We were greeted by a host of butterflies of all shapes and sizes stopping by on their journey south, enjoying the lovely floral plantings around the home. The views of the widest end of the Potomac as it meets with the Chesapeake Bay were breathtaking. We enjoyed paddling kayaks around the property and never saw another soul, except for the occasional heron and seagull. Watching the crabbers collect their treasures made us hungry for some local seafood, so it was great that several local restaurants are just a few steps away. At night, the milky way put on a show, with a few falling stars thrown in for good measure. Brian and Kim were the perfect hosts, and he hope to return one day to this lovely Maryland shore oasis.

A Little Slice of Heaven
This house is so restful. We lived on the porch, overlooking the Bay--a few feet from our steps. We saw Osprey, Sea Hawks, and a stunning Eagle! The house is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Kitchen, dining, living one great room, which was so nice for a family get together. The large island in the kitchen let multiple people help with meal prep. The Adirondack chairs by the water let us watch the sunset unobstructed and stay on for the stars later. Would definitely return. The host was very helpful and kind. Funky little restaurant within walking distance that does breakfast, lunch and dinner. Higher end restaurants nearby. It would be hard to stay here and not feel relaxed and reflective. House is part of 70+ acre farm, so lots to explore along its coastline. As I said, a little slice of heaven.

“Thanks for bringing me here”
Home was beautiful inside and out, it met all of our needs. Very private and great place to relax, screened in porch was awesome. Kids loved the kayaks and bikes that were included. Loved walking on the beach looking for sea glass. Both of our boys told us “thanks for bringing us here”, they were both burnt out on they normal beach scene, and this was a great replacement.
