Amazing time in the area. And the location of the hotel is an immediate win!. Everything is close by either in walking distance or a simple 5 minute drive. Amazing customer service etiquette.

We came in from NY to go to VCU Critical Care Hospital to see our loved one after we were notified of an emergency. We googled a hotel close to the hospital and picked the Berkeley. It was the best decision! We stayed Monday through Friday. It was clean, reliable, in walking distance, and Alfreda at the front desk treated us like family! Because of my daughter’s situation, we will be back, and will be staying here!

The customer service was amazing.Housekeeping, front desk, and valet was awesome. No ice on all the floors. The rooms should be updated. All rooms should have a fridge and microwave, not just the model rooms having fridges. Also, the vents are so dirty. You could see the dust and dirt on the outside of the vents.

We stayed in Richmond on our way Home from the Outer Banks. This was our first time in Richmond. It is an adorable old neighborhood. The hotel itself is quaint, but up-to-date and comfortable. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant, Italian food. Delicious Bolognese pasta and mushroom risotto.

I needed something close to VCU hospital. I was disappointed that there was no valet parking after midnight. And, there was a raging party going all night next door. I was hoping to get a good nights sleep after spending many hours in the hospital with my husband and that didn’t happen due to the noise .

Just ok - room smelled of rodent pee
Our room.was #204 and while spacious, it smelled of mouse pee...the floor had a hole in the carpet, and it was very dark in there wven with the lights on. Was strange not having a refrigerator in the room which I would have liked to have had. Probably my own fault for not reading the amenity list completely. The smell.of the room was the main concern.

Greeted by valet parking attendant Cynthia who was very friendly. Front desk attendant Starlett was amazing. Checked us in early since room was available so that we could have somewhere to put our bags before heading to the Richmond Jazz and Music Festival. She also gave us great advice on how to navigate the city en route to the festival. Room was model room, bathroom door was not properly aligned, would not completely shut. Blinds to windows were off track. Ate at the restaurant, server Carter was great. She needed help. My pancakes were great, wife sent her french toast back - they were soggy and bacon was cold.
