Dog friendly cottage, w/ fantastic views, sleeps 3, w/ private terrace & modern electric radiators

Hobson’s Cottage is a unique semi-detached stone built Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage, in the small hamlet of Fremington in Swaledale. The holiday cottage is in a good location to walk to the popular village of Reeth and in the opposite direction the renowned and widely liked pub in the village of Grinton, The Bridge Inn, which is opposite the St Andrews Church.

The cosy Dales holiday cottage in Swaledale is positioned on the left of a quiet lane, and unusually offers reversed accommodation with the first floor open plan living room with kitchen diner boasting fantastic views towards Reeth. There is a flight of steep stairs from the living room which lead to the two ground floor bedrooms and bathroom facilities.

Entering Hobson’s Cottage you will find a welcoming stone porch which is convenient for storing boots and coats. From the porch you enter the rest of the holiday cottage which is very comfortably furnished, ideal for a couple on a romantic break or a family with a small child or parent holidaying with you. There are many attractions and activities such as walks and cycle routes from the doorstep.

Hobson’s Cottage has a wonderful paved terrace to the side of the holiday cottage with fantastic views towards Reeth and Calverts Hill in the distance. The terrace is ideal for relaxing on the warm summer evenings after a day filled with activities. For when it gets a little chilly there is a chiminea to enable you to enjoy the terrace and the wonderful views that little bit longer.

Hobson’s Cottage is one of our dog friendly holiday cottages, one well behaved dog welcome. This Dales holiday cottage is an ideal choice if you are looking for pet friendly accommodation as there are many walks nearby, including Fremington Edge and lots of dog friendly pubs.

Perfect for our needs
Lovely property that was just right for our requirements - two adults, one child and a dog as temporary stopping point while visiting friends. It was a warm, light property with great views and in close, walking proximity to Reeth and endless amounts of stunning walks. We had a small issue with the washing machine due to the cold and ice but that was dealt with promptly. The only other thing I would say is that the lane that the property exits onto is much busier than we were expecting and the vehicles did not drive with any care or expectation that there may be people walking on the lane or coming out of the cottage so it pays to be aware of that if renting the cottage, especially with dogs or children. Overall a good experience and we'd recommend the cottage with the provisos above.
