On the second floor is a kingsize bedroom, with vaulted ceiling and beams, a soothing decorative palette, built in wardrobe space and en-suite facilities and mood lighting. Outside is a raised seating area which catches the best of the afternoon sun and a welcome spot to enjoy a cup of Yorkshire tea after your day of exploring.

Famously known as the ’Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’, it is surrounded by stunning countryside and picture postcard villages and is ideal for keen walkers and cyclists alike with a range of routes and trails nearby for all abilities. With much to do within a short stroll, The Townhouse Richmond is perfectly situated for your stay. The cobbled market square and quirky lanes leading off, have an abundance of independent shops, galleries and coffee spots. You can enjoy a hearty breakfast or evening meal with a wide range of eateries. The Norman castle dominates the skyline and a great place to start exploring. Riverside walks meander around the town, take a picnic or enjoy a walk to nearby Easby Abbey. En-route visit the recently converted station, where you will find a deli, artisan bakery, microbrewery and coffee shop. Look around the art and craft exhibitions and independent shops. To enjoy the wider area, visit one of the many pretty Yorkshire towns or villages, such as Thirsk, Ripon, Harrogate, Leyburn, Hawes or Reeth, all of which are accessible within a short drive.
