Great location on the sea front, very close to buses, taxis, restaurants, supermarket, good walks nearby along the sea front and up the sides of the gorge that Ribeira Brava sits within. Despite being on the seafront with lots of cafes and restaurants it was mostly very quiet, a little noisier on the Saturday evening though by midnight even then it was quiet.
The staff at the hotel are really friendly and helpful. They need the booking voucher from Ebookers and I was able to email it in the Reception though you may want to take a printed copy, otherwise checking in was easy, WiFi only worked in the lounge and reception but otherwise worked well. There is a lift, though part of one day it was out of order. The place is simply furnished but very clean and comfortable. I had a superior room with a sea view (a must have, particularly with the balcony!) which was massive with a large lounge and separate large bedroom. The mattress on the bed is probably coming to the end of its life, though the linen was all good with lots of spare pillows and blankets. There is a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was super clean, there was a bath with a shower over it. There was no means to tell the staff you wanted to reuse towels/ bed linen which I prefer, given the environmental impact, so I decided not to have my room serviced. Breakfast was 7 Euro and had a good buffet.
I’d definitely recommend the hotel.
