The hotel in right downtown amongst shops and lots of restaurants from high end Icelandic to English, Irish and American pubs 2 blocks away. The entire area is walkable with small quaint streets, music, and the Settlement Exhibit (history of Reykjavík from early Viking settlement to now is right under the hotel. The staff will arrange pick up from the airport, passes and transportation to the major hot springs, etc. A huge breakfast buffet is served daily (extra cost) featuring both Islandic and American foods as well as amazing breads and pastries. Rooms are small but extremely clean and well equipped. The street it is on is historic and quiet yet only a block from lots of activity and the tour pick up point at City Hall. Also has a bar with a nice reading area.

Beautiful hotel- the lobby/design is full of character and history. Room was clean and tastefully designed. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely. Though I didnt try it, the hotel also has a bar to enjoy. Great locatoon for exploring the main town. 15 mins walk from the marina, 15 mins walk from the iconic church and ‘rainbow road’.

We loved our stay at the hotel. We visited for Airwaves and the hotel was within minutes from the venues and made it easy to get around. It's next to all the sites you can walk to and enjoy the city center. Perfect location all around. Bus stop #1 is a block away and that is extremely convenient for airport transfer and tours. The people are always friendly and knowledgeable and help with anything needed. I would definitely stay here again!
