Beautiful Property - Bit further from Byron than we expected.
Riverbend is a lovely property very well equiped and a great spot to relax and enjoy the sounds of the country. We did a few hikes through the orchards but getting to the river proved difficult as it would have involved some bush bashing. This may have been our fault as we could not find a colour walking trail map (plenty of photocopies but no original). The house itself was well equiped - it almost had too much stuff - although the lighting could have been better (4 of 8 overhead lights in kitchen area did not work and there was no effective outdoor lighting for dining). I think by mid January we didn't need the Christmas Tree and decorations. The only thing we missed was any decent cooking knives but that is just a personal pet peeve. It is not 25 minutes from Byron (40 minutes) so probably best not to plan on dining in town every night - much better to settle in and enjoy the property - the pool was fantastic. It is an incredibly relaxing and beautiful spot which I would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all. The birdsong in the mornings and the view across the valley will not be soon forgotten. Tiffany was a delight to deal with,
