The cottage is comfortably furnished and has a sheltered location with a view of Sølenfjellet on clear days.

The area is perfect for long walks with many marked hiking trails and good cycling opportunities. For summit walks, the peaks of the Sølen massif are recommended with a highest point of 1755 meters above sea level. For those interested in fishing, there are good conditions in the mountain water or at Åkrestrømmen and Storsjøen.

In winter, there are beautiful groomed cross-country ski trails that lead to the nearest ski slopes 250 meters from the cottage. If you want to try alpine skiing, it is only a short drive to the Renåfjellet alpine center.

Note: Water is collected in buckets about 700 meters from the cabin. The stove is heated with gas and in winter there are two gas stoves you can use in addition to the wood stove and the regular stove. The sauna is fired with wood and the water for the shower is heated and then poured into a container in the shower, where a pedal is used to create a jet. Low ceiling height in the attic and steep stairs to the attic.
