Modern family home set on 100 acres - 3 bedrooms on offer (4th bedroom available subject to request and extra cost), swimming pool, outdoor spa, abundant wildlife. A detailed welcome pack is provided via email once a booking is confirmed and payment processed.

Illawong is the perfect escape for a weekend and just 90 minutes from Melbourne. Over 1km of Campaspe River water frontage hugs the property.

Young adult gatherings/parties are not permitted.

Enjoy bush walking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, archery, mountain bike riding, gold fossicking, stargazing from the spa or getting cosy around any one of the 3 fireplaces inside or outside of the property. Even bring the golf clubs up and practice your wedge shots or drives out into the paddocks or test your skills at bocce or table tennis!

On offer are 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 rooms include a Queen Bed in each and a third bedroom which includes 2 single beds. A 4th bedroom with king bed is available upon special request (and cost).

A modern open plan kitchen and 10 seater dining table provides easy entertaining and a great opportunity for a dinner party and late night card games. A large range of cooking appliances and equipment exist so all you need to do is bring the food. The kitchen and dining area extends into a large family lounge area which features a queen size billiards table and large smart TV - enjoy the comfort and AC during summer or fireplace during winter.

A second living area exists with floor to ceiling windows and a cosy second fire place this is also the perfect setting to unwind, read a book or play play chess.

Large doors from the living areas lead to the external deck which includes a 10 seat outside table and provides a stunning backdrop looking over Campaspe River towards Heathcote. A Webber BBQ is neatly tucked in the corner of the deck.

The outside pool and spa make this property hard to look past in any season. During summer lounge by the pool or set up dinner on the 6 seater dining table. During winter or summer, enjoy an evening hot spa and watch shooting stars.

Set high on a volcanic hill overlooking the Campaspe River you’ll feel miles away from anywhere as you relax and rejuvenate during your stay at this modern country escape.

Guests must bring their own linen including bed sheets (fitted sheet and top sheet), pillow cases, towels to avoid onsite washing since we rely on rain water. All beds come with protective base sheet and protective pillow cover for hygiene purposes and either a summer or winter dooner.

During summer - bring your boat, jet ski and kayaks. Depending on the water levels, you can launch from our property direct into the river, but if the river is low use the Eppalock Caravan Park which is less than 5mins drive to launch your water craft then motor up and park your water craft on the property.

Redesdale town is less than 10 minutes drive. The historic bluestone Redesdale Pub boasts a great menu. You want to book ahead on weekends as they are often booked out during the busy seasons. Beyond Redesdale there are plenty of options including the renowned Heathcote and Sutton Grange winery regions making Redesdale the perfect starting point for a winery tour. Winery information is available at the property. Bendigo is also on 40 minutes away and if you are into golf, Axedale, Heathcote or Kyneton golf clubs provide a great golfing experience. For mountain bikers, there is an amazing track only 25mins away in the Harcourt state forest.

The property is professionally cleaned after each stay and is kept in excellent condition. Our cleaning costs are based on expected cleaning requirements that would apply under normal usage based on the duration of the stay. Any excessive cleaning required will deducted from the security bond.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be close to Redesdale Estate Vineyard. An outdoor pool and an arcade/game room are available. A private pool and a kitchen are available in the vacation home.

Stunning surrounds
This property was exactly what we had hoped for for a weekend away with friends away from the hustle and bustle. We used it as our base to explore the Heathcote region but really wished we had more time to just relax at the property. Stunning views down to the river (which we wandered down to also - did not disappoint). We were fortunate enough to see wedge tail eagles soaring in the mornings and plenty of kangaroos in the paddocks at dusk. Just so peaceful.
