Getting Around:
Traveling to Twyford from South Lodge at Stanlake Park is quick and convenient. By car, it takes about 5 minutes to reach the village centre, while on foot, it's a pleasant 20-minute walk. The route is straightforward, making it easy to access local shops, restaurants, and the train station.

Other Things to Note:
Please ensure any outdoor furniture is taken indoors overnight or during bad weather.
There is a wedding venue in close proximity, whilst it is unlikely that you will hear any music from the venue it is possible.
If you would like to book a Wine tour - please get in touch with Stanlake Park to arrange and let them know you are staying at the lodge.
The TV is currently only connected to the internet and not an aerial.
There is no door to the bedroom upstairs, please take a look at the floor plan for clarity

Please note if you have booked directly, 50% of your payment will be taken by card automatically when you make your booking online, the remaining 50% will be collected automatically, 5 days before your check in date.

Great Family Haven for a weekend getaway

Lovely country location.
South Lodge is a lovely cottage on the stanlake wine farm estate. It is well appointed and quite spacious and can accommodate 8 adults. Very pretty vistas and walks are around with the convenience of Twyford very close by.

Fabulous property in a glorious location!
Me and 7 friends stayed in the property to celebrate my 28th birthday together. We had a fabulous time and the house was perfect for it. The rooms were lovely and the beds super comfortable. The living room was so light and airy in the day yet cosy in the evening. We loved the bifolding doors and the views out across the countryside. The big dining table in the kitchen/diner was great for the sit down meal we prepared one night. Five stars for this house and the great time we had there. Would definitely recommend!

Boring and no extras
The property itself was lovely. The beds were comfy and the property clean. There were none of the usual little touches that we usually get with a property at this price. There was no welcome pack on arrival of tea, milk, fresh coffee, bread etc. There were no ‘things to do’ eg board games. We did not have access to regular TV channels. The general feel was that it was all a bit mean and stingy and we felt that some extra touches could have been thrown in eg wine tasting at the vineyard, welcome packs, activities etc. In addition we were quite perturbed to arrive to find a large and clearly active mouse trap in the kitchen. This was a huge concern for us during the stay and we didn’t feel we could leave any food out so had to put food like bread and biscuits in saucepans with lids on it. A lovely property but disappointing package. Could have easily been made so much better in simple ways .
