This was a very convenient hotel for an overnight in Rapid City. It was clean and the employees at check in were friendly. The rooms appear to have had recent remodeling with maps and murals of local attractions on the walls which is fun. Our room apparently missed out on tub hardware upgrades. The temperature knob was nearly impossible to turn and the shower head was the worst I’ve seen in any hotel, much less one seemingly as well appointed as this one.

Okay place nice location
I enjoyed the place the restaurants were both nice. It was in a good neighborhood with plenty to do nearby. My only complaint was when I got there they said the did not have a clean room and asked me to go sit to the side. After watch 3 other people check in I went up and they had forgot me but I did finally get a room after an hour wait !!!

We always enjoy our stay at The Rushmore Hotel. Our dog is welcome, it’s centrally located, and always has reasonable rates. However be sure if you need a mini fridge that you specify on booking. They are provided on fliers 8&9, otherwise you have to request one at an extra charge.

Not for a restful weekend away
Hotel lobby is fantastic, the room we stayed was pretty dated and musty smelling. If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend stay the downtown night life does not allow for it. We stayed on the 8th floor and between the street and people noise it was very hard to get any sleep.

The hotel loby looks nice. Aside from. That, the rest is just average or below average. You can tell the doors to the elevator have been painted, the rooms look old and need renovation. Our shower was dirty. Its just an average hotel that is trying to play "dress up"
