I’ve been a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member for years, but my recent experience at the Marriott Crabtree Hotel on October 26th was deeply disappointing. After arriving at the hotel around 10:30 p.m., I was informed that the hotel was overbooked and they had guest who refused to leave the premises, and we were "walked" to a different hotel without any prior notification. What made the situation worse was the lack of communication. As a guest, I would have expected to be informed in advance if my reservation couldn’t be honored. This would have given us time to make other arrangements, rather than showing up late at night and scrambling to find a place to stay. When we arrived at the Hampton Inn the guest did not receive adequate instructions which created more confusion and frustration. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, the way this situation was handled fell far short of Marriott’s typical standards. Being walked to a non-affiliated hotel added to the inconvenience. I hope Marriott takes this feedback seriously and improves communication in the future. This experience has left me reconsidering my future stays with the brand.

Unfriendly Staff here nearly ruined our Event!
This stay was one of the worst stays I have ever had at a marriot hotel. We came down to this marriot for a funeral for a close family member during the weekend of a large state fair and a concert for a popular pop star sabrina carpenter. We called ahead about early availability and staff had told us the room would be available after 11:00am We missed the majority of the wake due to our room not being ready until 4:00pm! Staff was incredibly unfriendly and unwilling to fix mistakes they had made citing they were "busy". To make matters worse, the staff had talked about how we were terrible customers using our full names and room number in public at the front desk in front over other customers. They were so loud that I was listening in from the other side of the lobby and could hear them clearly. The room we were placed in was in bad condition, with the smoke detector ripped off the ceiling and wall paper partially peeled off. No complimentary water is found in the room. If you can avoid this marriot please do so

I could hear everything in this hotel. I left with zero sleep from all the banging i heard. We were on the 5th floor, and I couldnt imagine what the floors below heard.

We checked in around 5pm, but at the time they didn’t have two double beds as reserved so we ended up with a King. It would have been more comfortable for us to have two doubles. I will say it’s was a crazy busy weekend there with a wedding and most have been a high school sporting event. But not even an apology just told they could only do a king.
