Summary:
Brand new luxury home nestled in the trees in the downtown adjacent Cleveland-Holloway neighborhood. This private guest house is tucked behind an historic duplex (also a Vacation Rental). Private yard, patio, deck and parking. Inside you will find designer selected finishes including gleaming reclaimed pine floors, natural wood doors, quartz countertops, 10' ceilings, a soaring cupola, gas fireplace, meticulously designed bathrooms + much more.

The Space:
Abundant outdoor living spaces including deck and stone courtyard. Designer living room with gas fireplace opens to eat-in kitchen with gas range, stainless steel appliances, custom range hood and more. Primary bedroom with luxurious King bed, en-suite bathroom and courtyard access. Second bedroom with Queen bed. We use Free & Clear Unscented laundry detergent on bedding and towels so our guests with sensitivities to perfumed products can breath easy.

Guest Access:
This home is an Accessory Dwelling located behind an historic duplex. The front door has a keypad so you can arrive when convenient and come and go as you please.

The Neighborhood:
The Cleveland Holloway neighborhood has been dubbed "Durham's Front Porch" with good reason. It's a diverse, urban historic neighborhood with easy access to walk, bike or Lyft downtown. This is an urban historic neighborhood and as such has foot traffic and mixed income neighbors.

Getting Around:
This house has Super Easy access to I85, NC-147 etc. Uber and Lyft are common in Durham so no worries if you don't have a car! There are also plenty of bus routes, and the neighborhood is walkable to downtown too.

Other Things to Note:
We have a Smart TV with access to Netflix, your Amazon or Hulu account, and many other apps. We cut the cord on cable, but offer YouTubeTV which functions similarly to cable and offers tons of Live or On Demand Options!

Interaction with Guests:
We want you to be able to settle into this home as if it was your own. We'll stay out of your way, but we're just a quick message away if you have questions about restaurants, events or the house, or if an unexpected issue arises.

We are happy to answer questions that you may have! Whether it's a hankering for a local cider or a sudden urge for a new new haircut, we are happy to help you find the closest and best place to make that happen.

Well kept clean quaint and comfy
I’d love to give this place 5 stars and it deserves it, but there were a few noteworthy items that could be better. Before I mention those, let’s talk about the great stuff. The unit itself is perfect. Roomy but cozy, great lighting, tastefully decorated, private (no adjoining units), and located within minutes (walking) of many food and drink options including a couple wonderful rooftop bars. Honestly, this is one of those most memorable and comfortable vrbos I’ve ever stayed in with a high recommend. As for the missing star…communication from the owner/property manager was either lacking or slow, including requested answers to 3 separate questions. If communication sucks, you can’t earn 5 stars. The unit was also lacking laundry detergent despite having a washer/dryer. I sent a message about it but didn’t hear back until our last night, after we had already purchased detergent. These are minor concerns, and they wouldn’t preclude me from coming back or recommending this unit.
Stayed 4 nights in Apr 2024
