Had a lovely 3 night stay here. Ate at the restaurant twice and it was delicious. Staff were lovely. Room was spacious. Only downfall was the hill to get to the accommodation. We felt like we needed to drive down to the main area of Queenstown, and parking in Queenstown is not great and all paid. Parking at the hotel is a first come first served basis and basically luck of the draw. This could be better managed.

Spacious Rooms, Friendly Staff…and the Mattress!

Spent Christmas here with my family and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The connecting family suite was pricey but worth the money considering how spacious the rooms are. The bed mattress was one of the most comfortable mattresses I’ve slept on. Breakfast had a nice spread for the entire family and the staff members were very friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel is fantastic and the hotel has a nice view of the lake. Garage parking spaces could fill up fairly quickly during busy times but all in all this is a great hotel that I’d highly recommend. Still can’t get over how comfortable the mattress was!

I was a returning customer having stayed several years ago at this Hotel and had a good experience. This time however I did not have a great experience when my room wasnt ready at 3pm as per the check in time. We had to wait to 4pm to check in and then was sent to the wrong room so couldnt access the room. Before returning to the hotel for our next booking (a few days later) I rang to ask to speak to the manager to ask if we could check in earlier and left a message. The person said the magare would call me when they came out if their meeting. Teh manager never called that day or the next or at all. Dissapointing experience for me and would not stay again at this hotel or reccomend to others.

Nice hotel, rude staff

Very nice hotel, but staff was found to be quite rude. We asked for ice and at first they politely delivered it to our room. Next day they told us to go downstairs to the bar and we were rudely told there is no more ice. lol Really?! wow, no ice at a bar. Ok. Whatever, other than that, the rooms were well maintained, pretty close to the heart of Queenstown (we took a bus right across the street from hotel which was nice, since it was quite cold out) but definitely within walking distance. Overall, this was a nice stay

Overpriced average hotel

Average hotel, overpriced for what you get. Pool facilities not large enough for amount of rooms. Pool not heated, was too cold to swim comfortably. Average bar with extremely limited drink selection. Would be nice if hotel could support local and showcase local beers and wines. Overall disappointing.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. The manager lied about the room not being ready, claiming it was due to maintenance when it was actually just housekeeping. Check-in was delayed by two hours, and they didn’t offer to take our bags for us. Compensation was only offered after disagreement, and even then, it was a free drink voucher. Since I don't drink alcohol, they awkwardly suggested chocolate milk - hardly appropriate. Later that evening, we overheard staff at the bar openly and unprofessionally discussing the incident. To make matters worse, when I tried to use the drinks voucher for a mocktail (priced the same as beer), I was told it could only be used for soft drink, despite reception telling me otherwise. At dinner, the restaurant had run out of chicken for the pasta which was incredibly frustrating as I then had to go without or with a seafood alternative for added cost. The supposed $10 housekeeping discount they offer is a complete ruse – we weren’t allowed to apply it to the lunch we had at the restaurant upon checkout. Overall, this was an unprofessional and poorly managed experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

Fab place to stay. Room was large and clean, with nice amenities. Easy 15 walk to city centre, so close to shops, dining etc. We didn’t eat at the onsite restaurant, but bought coffees and the staff were very friendly. Pool, spa, sauna and gym were lovely and great to use after a day out enjoying beautiful Queenstown. Would highly recommend the Heritage Hotel Queenstown.
