The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast options were decent. It has the same look and feel as any Holiday Inn Express in the States, but it's in China. The location was convenient for my business tripโ€”close to my contacts. Nothing fancy, just a simple in-and-out stay. The only downside is that the carpet and hallway could use an update

A weekend in Qingdao

As Holiday Inns in China go, this one was actually very good. The free breakfast was very nice, with plenty of Western and Chinese foods to choose from. The bed was what I would call pretty close to the Western standard of softness, and the overall cleanliness of the entire hotel was impressive.
