I guess the best thing in this hotel is staff. The majority of folks were friendly, welcoming and really were trying to make your stay pleasant. There were a few exceptions but in general staff was great.
The area of the hotel is big, there are places to walk but there's a fundamental issue with the design or usage of the hotel's internal roads. You can't simply walk around - you always deal with the traffic. It's like an internal highway: tourist trains, trucks, buses, golf cars, motorcycles, bicycles, you name it - everything is there driving/riding nonstop. And, obviously, those vehicles leave a lot of exhaustions around so you can't enjoy a fresh air.
The beach itself is awesome. The only wish - would be nice to have more covered spots, otherwise existing ones are being taken quickly. The ocean had a lot of waves during our stay in December so we spent the majority of the time in the pools. But some of the pools were kind of dirty and unsafe for kids. We only saw staff cleaned the surface from leaves and bugs but we've never seen actual cleaning of walls and floor like in other hotels. Our kid got sick since she gulped that water in the pool.
The food is ok but there were crowds close to Christmas time so kitchen was lagging behind a bit. Also our families got food poison a few times there.
The rooms were fine. We especially enjoyed the bunked beds. There were a lot of mosquitoes but it was raining most of the time and the area is swampy - kind of expected.
