I prepaid for my booking on CheapTickets.com but the receptionist said that I have not paid the full amount. In my booking confirmation, it clearly states that I have paid and the remaining amount to pay at the reception was just the local tax. I tried to show the receptionist the confirmation, thinking that maybe he would investigate further but he just insisted that I have not paid without even bothering to look at my booking confirmation. Extremely unhelpful! I had to call CheapTickets customer service and they emailed the hotel. Once the receptionist saw the email, he realized his mistake. However, not even a single word of apology from him. Delayed our check-in by more than an hour! I have always prepaid for my hotels so that I can have a swift check-in, and this is the first time I had problem checking in. And I cannot emphasize enough on the rudeness and attitude of the receptionist. If he allowed me to show the booking confirmation and checked further, maybe he would have realized I have prepaid and I did not have to go through the trouble of calling CheapTickets.
