My only complaint is the noise at night sometimes, but otherwise our stay was WONDERFUL. Great staff. Clean. Good food. Good drinks. The beach was heaven.

Zona Romantica is a wonderful area to stay. The hotel is very pretty and very clean although older. You can walk to many restaurants and entertainment within minutes, just outside your door. Highly recommend Playa Los Arcos for the location.

You cannot beat this location. However, some of the rooms are very much in need of updating and deep cleaning. The room was very gritty, the exterior doors are very thin and could easily be kicked in, curtains are undersized so they can’t keep the light out and gross shower. We didn’t stay in the original scummy room and paid for an upgrade after basically demanding because we could not handle the condition. The second room was updated but only had hot water TWICE during the week we were there. It felt like they were only pretending to take the hot water issue seriously which is frustrating. If you want to be downtown in the mix then this is the place but you will sacrifice a hot shower during your stay. The staff was nice but could be more helpful. The food was good and the all-inclusive felt like it was a good value. Really the cold shower all week was hard to endure. Otherwise we did enjoy the resort. It’s a hot spot for locals and regular visitors which made the atmosphere enjoyable.

We have stayed now in all three Los Arcos properties. We have enjoyed them all. The pools, access to the beach and within walking distance of every kind of food you could possibly want. Staff very helpful and made a special effort give everyone a festive Christmas experience.

To start when we were escorted to our hotel room there was water on the floor from the mini fridge door being left open. This hotel is old & so some things you expect to have aren’t gonna operate the way we expect in 2024. The phone inside the hotel room didn’t work and so no calls could be made to the front desk. An employee told us that many of the rooms are the same way because the cable phone lines are old. When I went downstairs to talk to the hotel manager she was quite rude and sarcastic, We had stayed in this hotel 22 years ago and my wife wanted to take a trip down memory lane, bad idea. The staff are just not professional and of low integrity which is what you would expect at an outdated hotel like this. The best part of the hotel is the location with respect to the Zona Romantica area which is old town Puerto Vallarta. My wife & I went out to the malecon to have some drinks at Señor Frogs which was great and soon after departing Señor Frogs our 14 year old son who had stayed back at our hotel room called us to tell us that a hotel employee had just entered our room with a key after knocking on the door a couple of times (we strictly forbade our son from answering the room for any reason) the hotel employee who was wearing the brown guayabera shirt quickly left the room upon seeing our son without identifying himself at all. That was at 9:30pm which is obviously not hotel room repair hours (too late) and no excuse for entering a room without permission.
