The property is large with lots to do! It’s a great place to bring the kids but there were all ages there. Something for everyone. The property is very clean but is showing its age. It’s seems to be lacking a “polish”. All the staff were good but the super smiles and happiness seemed to missing. Just comparing to other resorts we’ve been to. The beds were hard with scratchy linen. They tried placing an extra comforter under the sheets to make it softer. It helped a bit. Pillows were very soft. Room and bathroom were a good size but again showing it’s age. An extra chair or table would be nice. The pictures showed more furniture than there actually was but not a big deal. Curtain was black out but did not close all the way. It is a bit noisy. Can hear the kids running around above us and water running in the areas around us. I had earplugs so didn’t notice the sounds through the night. Food was average to good. Always lots of variety. Drinks were good. Pool is huge again just showing it’s age. Lounging options were great! Views were great! Location great! Couple minutes walk and your in the Marina. Lots to see!

Came here as a family with my two young children (3 and 5). We got it for a really great price and had a wonderful time. The property could use a little maintenance in some areas but it’s perfect for kids. The pool is nice and shallow and has a gradual incline into the water. There are always lots of pool chairs as well. There isn’t a ton of options for food and what they did have wasn’t great. If you need to buy any last minute items walk to the marina and not the gift shop. It’s extremely expressive (which is normal with the all inclusive gift shops). Housekeeping was great and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. With regard to the kids club it wasn’t very well explained and I wasn’t comfortable leaving my kids there but I think that’s also because they were quite young. Once a kid is 7-8 they could probably navigate it well. They had lots of activities for kids through that facility. The beach was beautiful and clean and it was one of my favourites I’ve been too. Overall it was a great experience and think it’s a nice option for people looking for a good deal. If the price was right we would definitely come back.

The Melia is great as a mid-level all inclusive resort. The food at the buffet and the two restaurants is average to fine. The staff is friendly and helpful. The seating area at the beach is great but the beach itself is quite narrow. My wife and I had a great time and would return.

This was my first all-inclusive resort. The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, though we did struggle with hot water. The power went out in the entire facility for about an hour, but everybody still had an amazing time. The food was incredible.

This property is in a great location close to airport and marina. The marked beach area is relatively small and of course swimming in the ocean is at your own risk - no lifeguards. However part of it is marked with bouys so you might expect it relatively safe. There are very sharp rocks less than a meter below the waves - very easy to suffer cuts or worse injury. The pool is large but very shallow and not heated so was not great for those who actually want to swim - the pool water was still much colder than the ocean near the beach in early January.

Beautiful location, great staff. Limited food options for vegetarians, which can be very easily improved. Hire a menu consultant for Indian tourists. I loved the pasta counter. So don’t get enticed by it when you are booking. The shows and live music is awesome! The only thing I was disappointed about was ‘resort credit’. They gave $150 coupons and at the checkout after 6th day, I returned all of them. It doesn’t work in most likely use cases. This is the only reason I am holding back on 5 star rating.

Location is amazing! For the price of this resort, if you wanted to you can go and enjoy the food on the marina. Close to the Walmart, marina, coffee shops. Art walk is on Thursdays but it is very busy! Your 5 minutes away from the airport which we found was a huge benefit. Food was okay. They have a cook making fresh food every evening if you don’t want anything from the buffet. The Fish House has amazing food! Mole and tacos is okay. Breakfast at Mole and Tacos is nice. For how busy the pool was, it was never dirty! The snack bar at the pool was good sometimes they had tacos. The service is phenomenal at this resort! The lobby bar is amazing, not one bartender struck out to me being better, they are all great! I recommend getting the Meliá app and using the amenities request link for different pillows and a duvet. The beds are not super comfortable. The rooms are clean and pretty standard. This resort is dated for sure but everything else made up for it. I would like to note that I would never stay at this resort without the premium bracelet because premium gives you a lot of perks and is totally worth the extra money. It is a family friendly resort but I never noticed it to be overflowing with kids. There is so much for families to do at the resort no one would be bored. There is live entertainment in the evenings which we never watched. The are pool tables, ping pong, kayaking, mini golf, games, volley balls to borrow, and much more!
