This fantastic cabin in mountains above Canaza on the Osa penisula, minutes from Corcovado National Park, is a welcoming retreat for guests looking to unwind. Miles of hiking trails with abundant wildlife, waterfalls, flowers, everything you can see in Corcovado National Park but all to yourself. With 2 queen beds in 2 cozy bedrooms, a refreshing shower in the bathroom, and an on-site manager, this serene property has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We think our place will help you experience everything the Osa Peninsula has to offer with toucans, macaws, 4 species of monkeys, sloths, 2 species of anteaters, tapirs, and of course a few species of cats. For bird watchers, see up to 30 species while drinking your morning coffee on the deck and then add another 50 species with a couple hour walk through the jungle.

The property has a traditional kitchen in a separate space that is a great space for hanging out and playing games, also with solar powered lighting if you want a change from the first and second floor open areas of the cabin. This is not a high end resort, but a place for people who want to have a quiet escape to the jungle and the flora and fauna that is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. The on-site manager can arrange anything in the area you wish to see and can guide you on night walks or to discover the secrets of the jungle or you can go it on your own for a truly exceptional experience in the jungle.

WiFi is onsite for streaming or all those modern communication pieces we can't seem to live without, but don't expect good cell phone coverage. There are no TVs or radios, just the music of nature and peace and quiet.

Only 5 minutes from a store with all the basic needs and 20 minutes to Puerto Jimenez and its airport, restaurants, bars, and bakeries you can experience all the pleasures of real isolation, while being only minutes from anything you want.

After a day hiking or while on a hike take a cooling dip in a number of soaking pools below one of the many waterfalls or just enjoy the many vistas over the jungle to the sea and contemplate the joy of living. For those who want to experience the magic of nature or just to read a book without the hussle and bussle, Tesoro Escondido is a magical place that you can have all to yourself for a break. Visit the real world instead of what we call the real world.
