Enjoyed the hotel itself very much. It is loud in the area though, late into the night. Staff were friendly. The restaurant is excellent. The room could probably use some special attention, but it was large and comfortable. The pool and pool-side service were awesome, but the loungers and towels are looking pretty worn out. Overall positive! The property itself is very beautiful.

We stayed here as many, many different sites recommended it as a more luxurious option and we were wanting a hotel rather than an Airbnb. The hotel looks lovely and the architecture etc are all beautiful. That being said, it wasn’t what I would consider luxury — our first night, we smelled mold in our room and could see mold all over the ceiling / walls in the bathroom and I’m pretty sure in the AC unit as well. We asked for a new room the next day, which the staff quickly provided. However, the next room was not as nice as the first (and for the inconvenience, I would have hoped it would be). In the night, water began pooling on the floor of the bathroom seemingly from the toilet or under the tiles. The staff investigated the next day and said the issue was solved; it was not and we remained for the following days with water pooling at night on our bathroom floor, and likely coming from our toilet. It felt like the hotel perhaps used to be better maintained but the facilities have slipped quite a bit. The front desk staff were fine but not really all that helpful or hospitable. It’s more a 3-star hotel than anything else. That being said, if you’re wanting a quiet place to stay in a busy place, the it is on the ocean and the views are beautiful. It doesn’t seem to be the area that foreigners stay in — they appeared to be down in Brisas. That was ok with us, but we were looking for something more luxury / high end for the price we paid — it didn’t deliver.

I will say from the onset that this is a great hotel. Beautifully laid out and the staff was wonderful. It is at the end of the strip so it is just the right distance to avoid the disco music that plays until all hours of the morning. The staff is delightful and very kind. All of that being said... Upon our arrival there were 3 ladies behind the counter and the one who appeared to be in charge put us in room 32. It was late, we were tired and the room was suitable and we crashed. The next morning we awoke to realize that the room was situated in the "middle" of the complex. Our bath and shower was directly next to the staff break area which provided elevated voices from morning to dark. Every window and the balcony in the room opened onto a thoroughfare or walk way so that we had to keep all of the blinds closed 24 hours. The worst happened when we went to take a shower and a flood of sewer gas vented from the drains and filled the room to the point that we had to dress and hurry out to get air! When I politely went to the front desk to ask for another room and I offered to pay if there was a charge to upgrade. The lady in charge was not there but the other two very sheepishly apologized and immediately had us moved to a beautiful room on the second floor. The hotel was no where near full and from their sheepish reaction to my request, they were fully aware of the conditions in room 32 from the onset.

Receptionist was very rude and not helpful, the rooms were dirty and had a bad smell. Pictures are not accurate, the pools were nice and it is very close to the beach on the plus side.

I like the hotel but I will be honest. Cons: This was my first time here. There was a few things that I want to mention… as a property manager myself is hard for me no to see every detail here we go….the bathroom is very humid, the cold water is always hot until the morning you can have cold water. The water pressure is very bad in the shower. So if you want to take a cold shower during the day or night that’s impossible. There are ants around the toilet all night long, so before you use the toilet make sure there are no ants inside toilet or at the base. The bathroom door has no lock. The AC works but very slow it takes hours to make the room cooler and it needs a fan to be used along with AC to get a little relief. The beds are hard and bouncy. Restaurant chocolate cake is dry, not sweet enough, it doesn’t taste like chocolate at all. Pros: Rooms are big, Clean, has 2 pools, Tv service is good, it has sky cable, a lot of towels, nice gated parking, restaurant fish tacos great! But ask for corn tortillas tacos because they usually served them with flour tortillas unless you ask. The ice cream is good. French fries are good too! The customer service in general is excellent, very friendly employees and they let me check in 2 hours before the regular check in time at 3pm and they let me enjoy the hotel property before the check in time. which I appreciate. I hope you pay attention to this comment to improve your service. Thank you.

There was filming on the property being done for 2 days that we were there and we couldn’t make any noise. I think if any hotel has something going on they should discount or let us know ahead of time. We are there to enjoy our vacation and not to be told to be quiet cause a production company is there filming a movie.

The staff did not speak English and there really wasn’t a concierge desk so we did not deal with the front desk other than for towels. They do not hire a cab for you. Pool closes too early but they let us stay in for longer which was nice. The restaurant is well situated with a view of the ocean. Our room had air- conditioning though the first couple of days I smelled mold because the area is so humid. The best part of the hotel is its location which is the furthest away from the loud and boisterous night life on that strip.
