A beautiful private and exclusive estate nestled on the slopes of an ancient and inactive volcano on Santa Cruz Island, at almost 400m above sea level. It is an area with evergreen vegetation and a cooler climate than that of the lower part of the island. The area is inhabited by turtles, finches, owls and many other typical Galapagos animals that frequent this 35000 sq m property in their routine pilgrimages. We have walking trails inside the property with fruit trees like oranges, limes and tangerine.
Santa Cruz, like almost all the islands of the Archipelago, is of volcanic origin and the presence of rocks and lava formations is evident from all sides. The land of this property is no exception, as well as much of the construction of the house takes lava rocks as a distinctive element of its decoration as well as handcrafted teak.
The area where the property is located is one kilometer from the vicinity of the protected area of the Galapagos National Park and it is surrounded by small coffee plantations and livestock farms.
The property faces south and through its glass walls, from practically all of its living, dining and bedroom areas enjoys a nearly 180 degree view of the Galapagos blue sea. The property faces Santa Fe Island. Also looking to the left, we will see the Plaza Islands and also the Gordon Rocks, famous for their underwater landscapes.
The property consists of a private land of 35,000 squared meters in the upper area of Santa Cruz. The villa is 120 squared meters. The villa enjoys an outdoor living area of 120 squared meters with a pergola that extends the options to enjoy the view to the sea.
Additionally the terrain is crossed by paved trails surrounded by Scalessia and fruits (oranges, lemon and tangerine) trees that you may harvest with your own hands to enjoy fresh fruits with amazing views.

Why so cheap?
This is my holiday home and maintenance costs are high. I am just happy to have my costs covered every month and a little extra that is invested back into the property. I am pretty sure there is not a better option in the islands that gives you the most value for your money :) you will love this "not-so-small" piece of paradise.
FAQ
How far from Puerto Ayora?
It is about a 15 minute drive.
How do we get from the villa to town?
We have a satellite phone for you to use with useful numbers to call, such as taxis, housekeeper and myself (I live in continental Ecuador but I am always a phone call away in case you need anything)
Where's the closest beach?
Its just 9km (Garrapatero Beach) where you may rent kayaks, SUPs, snorkel, etc.
Why should we stay here and not in town?
It's just a matter of preferences. When I go to Galápagos I prefer nature, privacy and calmness. These three things are hard to find in town with too many restaurants, cars, bars and tourists. Sometimes we cook at the villa and others we just go down to town and come up to relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
Would you please recommend what to do in the Galápagos and Mainland Ecuador?
I would love to. Besides this villa, I own Hacienda La Danesa and a tailor made travel agency. I know the best spots in Ecuador and I will be happy to design your trip to Ecuador within your budget :)
I don't want to cook or worry about meals, can we hire a cook?
Yes! We can have an amazing cook for you when you're not on excursions. We can discuss this privately.
