Much to love about this place. The 2 queen sized beds in the 2 upstairs bedrooms were perfect for couples, and the downstairs bedroom, though smaller, had another bed for 2. So, the house sleeps 6 comfortably/traditionally, with 2 full baths. There is a beautiful sun room off the kitchen/dining-area that has a sofa that pulls out into a large bed. Due to the room's location, some kind of folding doors would make it perfect for doubling as a bedroom, providing privacy while still keeping the open floor plan feel; as it is, it makes a fine bedroom for those who go to bed late and are up early - or a teenager who goes to bed late and can sleep through an earthquake (or at least the smell of bacon). There's also a couch in the living room that pulls out into a bed - and there's an extra big mattress under one of the beds upstairs. So, sleeps 6-8 reasonably comfortably and in theory you could squeeze in 11 or 12. Some interior work is still undergoing upgrades, but everything worked.
The kitchen is well equipped - chef-quality gas range and large fridge. Cast iron skillets among the pots and pans, and plenty of mugs and wine glasses. Also there's a grill. There is a lovely garden off the kitchen - lots of privacy. The location was perfect for us. It's a quiet residential area just far enough away from the bustle of downtown. We generally walked or biked to Commercial Street twice a day: anything you want to get to is only 0.5 - 1 mile away. The Herring Cove and Race Pt beaches are very easy to get to by car or bike, and Truro beaches are only a 10 min drive away.
Maryann was extremely hospitable. She was there when we arrived and gave us a house tour. She was very available for questions and advice.
Would definitely stay here again.
