Our stay was very comfortable. We thought we had booked the deluxe garden room, but unfortunately we had not. The front desk person Sandy, was very accommodating, and was able to get us a room w/a garden view. The gentleman Desir, took our bags to the 3rd floor, only to have to bring them back down again. He did all this w/a smile on his face. Jodi, the concierge, was excellent! She explained the Fish Fry event to us, made the arrangements for the cab to get us there, advised us about the restaurants that were being showcased. She was able to get us reservations at the Mangrove, and Magnolia, which we were so pleased about. Open Table offered no reservations till the 20th. We were leaving on the 13th. But Jodi came through for us! Emanuel at the front desk was also extremely helpful and answered all our questions w/a smile. The staff was excellent, including the breakfast staff. However, the hotel could use some more sprucing up. Maybe they are still in the process of renovating? The premises were clean, the guests were courteous to one another, no loud noises, very calm, and peaceful. in fact the entire island was fabulous! We would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you TCI !!!

Wonderful place to stay with kids and family, especially for the price. The included breakfast was a bonus. Very central location, easy walk to the beach, a nice grocery store, various shops and restaurants. The rooms were spacious, with good AC, and the kids loved the pool, hot tub, ping pong, pool table, and free games. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location of a Nice Hotel

This was an interesting property. Although described as a "resort," I would not define it as a such. It's actually a hotel, a nice hotel, but a hotel. The so-called "resort" feature seems built around the fact that it's immediately adjacent to (i.e., across a very small parking lot) a few fun shops, good cafes/restaurants, and a nice bar. And the whole area is called "Ports of Call." BUT. . . there is NO restaurant actually in the hotel proper, which means no room service. They do, however, provide a nice daily hot breakfast. The pool is nice, while the hot tub/jacuzzi is only okay (barely big enough for 3 people, which is enough to make things a bit uncomfortable. lol). But overall it's a good value compared to some other nearby hotels that are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. And right across the street is a well-stocked big grocery store, pharmacy & even an Urgent Care (which I used cuz I got sand in my eye). Grace Beach is a stone's throw away & they'll take you in a golf cart. Staff is pleasant & nice (especially the sweet gals working breakfast). Oddly, the laundry for guests broke down, yet they never fixed it. But they did then do our laundry for same price had we done it ourselves. Towels for pool/beach are available at front desk. And best of all the place is quiet, quiet, quiet. Not a lot of partying here, which was nice. Oh, but, be warned that there is no elevator. It's a walk up to 2nd/3rd. No big deal for us, but a different story for older/disabled peeps. Very comfy.

a/c rattled sporadically waking people in the middle of the night, very little water pressure, fold out bed was barley operable due to bent parts, old man that was a bartender was grumpy, ignored people, inattentive, seemed to bother him when ordering. the younger bartender was great, total opposite. kitchen/front desk staff were great.

The room was very clean and quiet, and bed was very comfortable. This is a no frills hotel. They only serve a very basic breakfast. For other meals you are on your own. I like the variety of food and experience of dining out so I think All-Inclusives are the best choice for me. I needed help on my departure day - Emanuel at the front desk went above and beyond trying to locate my taxi service. He called another cab and Expedia has promised me a refund, as I had already prepaid for the shuttle. The breakfast ladies did a super job keeping the coffee pot filled. All in all, a nice break. But just know that this is a no frills hotel. Also, beach is a short walk, not outside your door.
