Air Conditioned, Cozy, and Full of Aloha!

Nestled in the cozy and quiet Hale Moi complex in Princeville, our spacious Studio suite condo is perfect to serve as your home base as you explore the awe-inspiring beauty of the North Shore (and beyond) of Kauai. The condo is less than a 5 minute walk to multiple beaches and the newly opened restaurants and spa at the 1Hotel Hanalei.

The View

The view from our condo is a spectacular showcase of the unspoiled beauty of Kauai. Off the lanai to the right, take in a breathtaking view of Makana Mountain, the oceanside mountain peak made famous as Bali Hai in the movie South Pacific. Enjoy sunsets right on the lanai as the evening sky comes alive with a kaleidoscope of tropical color. Looking directly off the lanai (or from the inside of the studio) is a lush, tropical greenbelt (alive with birds chirping in the morning) and the Namolokama mountain range. After rain showers, you can see one, two, or even dozens of cascading waterfalls. Experience it all without leaving your condo!

The Accommodations

Our Studio suite is a second-floor unit (up only 6 steps) with vaulted ceilings, a private 75-square foot lanai with breathtaking views, a great kitchenette, beach gear, and everything to make your stay cozy and comfortable. One of the best things about our complex, Hale Moi, is it is small and low-key - our building has just four condos. The condo has a king bed with Serta plush top mattress, a super comfy living area with love sofa and chair, dining table, a 37" flat panel TV, and two ceiling fans. The kitchenette is well-stocked with a mini-fridge/microwave/toaster oven/coffee maker/hot plate/dishes/etc. (and you can of course use the gas and charcoal BBQs on the property). Overall, it's light and airy, full of aloha, and truly a lot for your money!

A/C & Heat

The suite has a quiet and efficient AC and heating system - It never hurts to have A/C, as Kauai is guaranteed to get hot and humid in summer, but also at any time of year. And if you're coming in winter, it's nice to have heat - overnight lows on Kauai can dip near 60 degrees!

The Location

Our condo is special for many reasons and a major one is location. Hale Moi is in one of the only areas in Princeville where you have beach access within walking distance. Two beaches are within a ten minute walk, with the closest being Pu'u Po'a beach in front of the newly renovated 1 Hotel. Right outside the front door is the scenic jog/walk/bike path that runs through Princeville, and across the street is a famous sunset viewing spot (Voted one of the 10 ten sunset viewing locations by Traveler Magazine), which is also great for whale watching if you’re with us during the season (Nov-April). Gorgeous Hanalei Bay is a 10 minute drive and for hikers, several trails are within reach, including the Okolehao trail in Hanalei and the infamous Kalalau Trail. If golf is your thing, the Makai golf course (recently renovated) is a half-mile away. For an easy dinner out, Hideaways Pizza Pub is a 5 minute walk. Princeville Center is a 5 minute drive and has a grocery store, coffee shop, yoga studios, shopping, and more.

Great location and well appointed apartment
Great location for exploring the north shore. Walk to queens bath, hideaway beach, and other princeville spots that people struggle to find parking for. Short drive to Hanalei Bay and other north shore gems. The apartment has everything you need to cook, beach gear, and a comfortable bed. What else could you need?

Lovely studio with deck that features your own seemingly private jungle - no need to close the drapes! Super private with full on jungle /bird / mountain vistas for days and the sunrises EPIC. Comfy bed and slept like a rock. AC helped so much with being able to feel comfortable inside if needed- though most of the time just having screen door open was perfect!

Lovely studio unit at wonderful Hale Moi. Everything I needed for my stay here. I especially loved hearing the sounds of the songirds (and roosters) at dawn and dusk, and walking across the street to watch the sunsets.

Heaven on earth
I have enjoyed my stay at this studio. I’ve stayed here before and I’ve always been very pleased with the unit. It’s a great location, waking up to that view every morning was a slice of heaven. To hear the birds singing, the roosters crowing, the bullfrogs, best sounds on earth. The studio was enough space for a single person & had everything I needed & more. Check in and check out process was very easy. I will definitely return in the future.

Location, location, location. Couldn't ask for a better spot. From the view of the mountains from the lanai to viewpoints, beaches and walks/hikes within walking distance or a short drive, the studio was right where we needed to be. The host's "guidebook" in the studio was quite helpful. Parking was a bit difficult on our first day due to service trucks taking up spots, but then it wasn't a problem the rest of the stay. Host was responsive.

The area was very nice. We had a lovely stay in the condo. The bed was cozy and the room was clean. The only downsides were one of the snorkle was broken, and I couldnt use it with my daughter. The other was there were movies but the dvd was broken. Small area to cook, but worked great for the 2 of us. The view is spectacular! We lived waking up to the various birds and residential rooster. Fantastic location. We would stay here again.

The area the condo was located in was beautiful. The condo itself had a weird smell, the carpets and tile were very worn and old, the air condition did not work the screen door was rip and I saw a roach in the bathroom. Nice development, the condo needs updating for sure.

We loved the studio, it is very accurately described online. The views from the balcony are awesome, I couldn’t wait to look each morning to see what the mountains looked like. Also a very short walk to amazing lookout over the ocean and Hanalei bay. Very close to many shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and hope to return, probably the best deal on the north side!! Thanks again.

The place was very nice and very clean. The beds were comfy and it was close to a lot of activities. They communicated well and quickly. They left beach stuff (chairs, towels, goggles,etc) that was a super nice bonus! Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at this studio was great! It was perfect for my spouse and I. It was very clean, comfortable and we loved sitting on the balcony in the morning to enjoy our coffee with the view. The kitchenette was also very practical as we were able to prepare lunches etc. Would stay again!

Quaint spot in prime location
Really enjoyed my stay at this condo over in Princeville. The location was pretty prime, walking distance to the Makai golf course, Hideaway Beach, and 1Hotel. Also was a very short drive into Hanalei which made getting around a breeze. The unit itself was spacious and comfortable, with AC that made some of the warmer evenings more bearable. The lanai was beautiful and I often enjoyed breakfast or coffee out there on a nice morning. This would be a great unit for anyone looking for a nice relaxing stay up in Princeville and positions you close to some of the best attractions up there. Would definitely recommend to friends or family! Couple small areas of improvement: - The beach gear felt pretty outdated (aside from chairs). The umbrella had definitely seen better days and the snorkels were both broken in certain areas which was disappointing. - Parking was a tad bit confusing at first not realizing that I was in the studio and not the loft unit. Wound up figuring it out and worked out fine but the spaces do fill up in the evenings so just plan accordingly.

We really enjoyed our Princeville stay! The condo is clean and convenient to shopping and a nice pizza restaurant. The community is lovely and there is a nice walking trail right across the street. Daniel provided lots of useful information about activities, restaurants, etc. in the area. I would definitely recommend!

Perfect Stay
This property was the perfect studio in Princeville. Positioned next to many restaurants and beaches it is the perfect place to stay if you are checking out the North Shore. Checkin and Checkout process was seamless, plenty of parking and the hosts were very easy to communicate with! There were also beach chairs and towels waiting for us when we arrived! Would recommend this property to anyone!

very good location
We had a great time at this vrbo. The AC and shower work well. Short walk/hike to Queens bath. The only downside I'd say is one of the snorkels they provided was broken, and the other leaked like crazy, we had to purchase our own, which is not a big deal but wasted a few hours. Recommended bringing your own if you plan on snorkeling.
