About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire apartment to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Princeville, Kauai. Delightful Studio In Sandpiper Village. Ten night maximum

You will not share the space with anyone else. Private entrance and private Lanai. A first floor level Studio sleeps 2 guests. There is a queen size bed with Bamboo Sheets. All linens are provided and there are plenty of them!!
Princeville is perched upon the cliffs adjacent to the breath taking Napali Coast, and close to World Class Beaches, such as Hanalei Bay. The Private Community of Princeville is in itself a spectacular area.

Quaint and Island style, my downstairs Studio sleeps 2 guests. There is a queen size bed, two comfortable chairs to view the flat screen TV (Cable, and WiFi access). You will have a mini refrigerator (with a real freezer), microwave, coffee maker, hot water pot, and toaster. You’ll find utensils, dishware, and glassware. I also provide linens galore, and included are beach towels along with beach chairs, large beach umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel masks, and 2 ice chests. The Lanai area has a table and chairs for outside dining, and is cool and private. You have access to the fabulous tiled Pool and Jacuzzi at SANDPIPER VILLAGE. The BBQ is in the private pool area. Do to HOA house rules, There is no cooking allowed in the Studio, However, warming up food in the micro wave is OK.

Sandpiper Village is located in the heart of Princeville just steps away from the scenic walking path that runs through Princeville (2 miles) from the shopping center, to Hideaways Beach Path, at the end of Kahaku Road. Perfect for a morning walk to the shopping center or evening stroll to watch the sunset. This path boasts stunning views of mountains with cascading waterfalls, a world class golf course, breathtaking sunsets, access to a public beach and whale watching.
The Princeville Shopping Center is conveniently located less than a mile from Sandpiper Village and it features restaurants, a grocery store, gas station and plenty of shopping.

Directions to Princeville and HALE MOKULELE in Sandpiper Village. Pepelani Loop,#136 Check-in 4 PM/Check-out 11 AM

Turn right (north) as you do final exit of airport at the stop light, Princeville is a one hour drive.

The speed limit changes rapidly. Keep an eye on the Limit Signs. The fastest you can ever go is 50, and mostly it is 40 and 25 through Kapaa and the other little places to pass through before you reach The North Shore. The drive at night takes a little nerve if you do not know the curves and side streets. There is a 30 mph down the hill over Kalihiwai Bridge. This bridge goes over the Kalihiwai River. You’ll come to this shortly after you pass through Kilauea. Be Safe!

If you are coming in at night, the streets are well lit along Ka Haku Road, which is the main street though the resort. Follow Ka Haku Road and turn right at Pepelani Loop. There is a large sign on the corner which says “Sandpiper Village”. The very first right will bring you into the parking lot. The unit is downstairs the second building on the left, #136. The reserved parking spot is #136. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO USE THIS RESERVED SPOT FOR THE FIRST NIGHT OF YOUR STAY, AND AFTER THAT YOU CAN USE ANY OPEN GUEST SPACE. As you keep driving in the parking lot, it forms a T. Turn left at the T and #136 is the first spot on the left.

If you have been to Kauai before, this is merely a refresher course. If it is your first visit, I hope this helps make your trip a bit easier. The door will be open and the key on top of the micro wave in a wooden bowl (just inside the front door). The door will have a WELCOME sign to help guide you.

Parking Familiarization for Sandpiper Village/Hale Mokulele:
The property has Unmarked Guest Parking.
There are Reserved Spaces and these are marked with the Unit Number.
There are two parking areas. One an immediate right hand turn off of Kahaku Road on Pepelani Loop, and the second a right hand turn off of Albert Road ( a right hand turn off of Pepelani Loop 1/2 block). You can only turn right!

Basically, there is a FRONT and a BACK parking area where you will find Guest Parking.

At this time of uncertainty and stress, we want to help keep your travel plans alive by offering a super clean environment as has always been offered. I stand by using H2o2 on every surface (including door knobs) as a non toxic cleaner. At 3%, you can dilute it to 1 ½% and it will still do the job.
I wanted you to know that I am continuing to care about cleanness and keeping us all healthy. The housekeeping at Hale Mokulele is taken very seriously. I was a Flight Attendant and stayed in many hotels. It was always a nice feeling to walk into a hotel room and immediately see that it had a sparkle. I recently did some painting inside and out to freshen up the look. I use no harsh chemicals or any product that contains a scent. Mostly I use Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) and water. The sheets and towels are laundered in Free and Clear detergent. I use Oreck Vacuums with hypo allergic filter bags.

The biggest project in Hawaii is mold and mildew and how to manage the allergens that may cause an adverse reaction. I use Oreck Vacuums that are the best for keeping dust and allergens to a minimum.

Covid19 and the Variants prompts me to revisit and perhaps make some additions and changes to "Important Things to Know..." I am used to Meeting and Greeting my Guests. The safety procedures still require Social Distancing. and perhaps Masks. That is why I want to turn the following list in to a "Guide For Hale Mokulele". Any questions? Do not hesitate to start up a conversion on VRBO after you arrive.

Important Things to Know About Your Stay at Hale Mokulele.

The Condo Key, Pool Key, and Parking Tag are located on top of the Micro-wave as you come in.{to the LEFT) The Screen Door will be unlocked.

Main light and fan control is behind the flowered curtains on the right hand side. Slide gently. Light and fan can also be turned on and off by a switch just inside main door. Please do not pull chords on the overhead fan. Best to leave fan on medium speed.
Extra multiple plug-in installation located to the Left of the picture window. Good for phone charge too.
Go gentle on opening and closing all the doors. Windy conditions will slam doors shut. There is a woven basket, full of shells, in the shower area to use as a door stop.
Dish liquid, dish drainer, tea towels, large red plastic bowel, salad washer, extra paper products, and cleaning supplies are located underneath the sink.
Inside the shower room is the Linen Closet, with extra and smaller towels.
Extra pillows and a blanket are located in the clothes closet.
To begin water flow in the shower, pull knob towards you.
The Kohler toilet-Tall Version
A water faucet is located outside to the right, by the railing, accessed on the Lanai.
Open and close blinds and please do not raise them.

Feel free to look in drawers, closets, and book shelf for items you may want to use during your stay. There are two empty drawers in the chest. The bottom drawer contains trash bags and other small storage bags.
No cooking is allowed, heating up is OK in the microwave.
Two coolers are on the Lanai. The large one has busted hinges and is still usable if you need the space. Just so you know I know!
Refrigerator is hotel size and has a real freezer, some Ice packs are already frozen!
The Lanai...Great place to enjoy the sunrise. Nice private space. Great place for a Tea Party!
Two Beach Chairs are in the closet. Two Boogie boards are behind the front door and a beach Umbrella and regular umbrella are leaning by Chest of Drawers Please make sure the sand stays on the beach!

Quiet time begins at 9 pm to 8 am!! Mahalo...

Trash bins are located in back parking area. Take a right out the door, another right at bottom of steps and keep on going along the walkway. This is also where the recycle is located.
The nearest laundry facilities are in Kapaa. One I know of is by Ace Hardware and the Post Office. 20 minutes South
Kauai Community Radio (90.9 or 91.9) is a great local source of information and Local musicians. They also have a Hawaiian Music Calendar, at 10:30 and 2:30, every day
Drapes have a pull cord on the Left Side. Please do not pull on drapes to open or close.
Fan and Overhead Light controls are behind the flowered curtains, on the Right side. Please do not pull the chains on the fan itself. If the Slider Door is open, the fan low speed is good.
Please use squeege on shower doors and walls after you shower. This helps to keep down the mold and mildew.
A good baggage stash area is behind the curtains. There are two empty drawers in the Chest under the Micro Wave. if you would rather not live out of your suitcase!! The bottom drawer has food storage bags and extra trash bags. If you buy more, thanks for the contribution!!!

Perfect for our needs
We very much enjoyed our stay. Patricia was a very conscientious host and we appreciated the little extras she left for us since we arrived so late. She even left us a Happy Anniversary sign. 😊

Lovely week in Kauai
This little studio was truly a home away from home for us during our recent week-long trip to Kauai. After long days outside exploring the island, we looked forward to returning to the little studio each evening to rest and relax. Although there is no kitchen, I was impressed by how equipped the studio was with kitchen supplies. We loved enjoying our meals in the outdoor patio too - felt secluded with all the surrounding greenery. The host was easy to reach and attentive to our needs. Thank you!!

Other than freaking out that my reservation was not showing on the web site and actually calling VBRO to comfirm. It would have been nice if contact is made more than 3 days in advance of arriving. Southwest changed my flight 3 times, so I was already a little scared when Expedia showed no upcoming trips. The wifi access code never did work. Fortunately, we had Hot spot capability on our phones.
