Room was basic, but clean. Very good breakfast was already in the fridge and room had kettle, coffee and tea. I really enjoyed the self service sauna. Hotel was quiet and service friendly. Good value

Sopii hyvin parin yön majapaikaksi mikäli haluaa matkustaa halvalla. Hotellin sijainti on hyvä koska kaupunkiin on kävelymatka. En suosittele matkustamaan kesähelteellä koska huone oli tunkkainen ja lämmin koska ilmastointia ei ollut. Hotelliin on helppo tulla ja etenkin lähteä koska kuumaa huonetta en ikävöi

Old mental asylum with all the treats
I booked this hotel purely based on price and the fact that it was converted from an old mental health hospital. Porvoo is a tiny town, so everything is close and they have a great town bike system. The conversion was not much, as the place looks just like any old hospital or care facility, which means big rooms and large spaces. Quite well lit as well. The beds were okay, pillows quite crappy but expected for the price. The location is a bit weird as well, in the middle of a residential area outside of the actual tiny center of town. Still, would go again if the purpose was to stay for the night and move along, which is what I did.
The public kitchen area in the floor, each floor (four in total) has two wings with four rooms each, with a public space in each wing. Spacious!

Varma paikka
Hotellin sijainti on aika lähellä vanhaa kaupunkia. Autolla sinne on muutaman minuutin matka. Tie hotellille on merkitty hyvin ja hotelli on rauhallisella alueella. Itse hotelli on vanha vanhusten talo. Tämä tulee erittäin selvästi ilmi. Koristeet ovat jääneet seinille tästä ajasta ja huoneessani oli vanhustentalon hajua. Romantiikkaa ja kotoisuutta saa etsiä muualta. Peruspalvelut toimivat ja huoneessa on kaikki mitä tarvitaan. Jääkaapista - tvseen. Sänky oli vain 80 cm leveä ja epämukava. Parisänkyyn tottuneena siinä sai hakea mukavaa nukkumispaikkaa. Sisätiloissa harvat äänet kaikuivat ja kuuluivat huoneeseen. Hotellissa ei ollut viilentävää ilmastointia ja ulkoa kuului avoimesta ikkunasta yöllä ihmisten ääniä. Huoneessa oli kuitenkin helpotusta tuova pöytätuuletin. Aamiainen oli ihan hyvä, vaihtoehtoja oli riittävästi ja kaikki oli tuoretta ja raikasta. Tunnelmaa latisti hyvin vanhustentaloomainen ruokala ja aamutv, josta kuului jotain uskonnollista ohjelmaa. Menisin tänne uudestaan jos haluan edullisen, siistin ja varman yöpymispaikan ilman erillisiä kommervenkkejä. Rakennuksen koosta päätellen täällä on varmasti melkein aina tilaa.
