It was worse than terrible and the service worse than that. Front desk phone number has been disconnected and entire experience was the worst I’ve ever had.

We stayed one night at this property while checking out Portsmouth. The location is right off the highway next to a diner. The peppery is pretty old and very dated. The staff was very helpful and nice and the room was clean but old and musty. The bathroom ceiling look liked it had a leak at some point and it was not repaired. The location itself is only 7 minutes drive from downtown which was great. But overall overpriced for the dated property.

The restaurant/Diner attached to the hotel was very good. The location is also very good, easy on off of major Interstate. The staff was nice, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.

Employee Bobby at the desk has a wonderful and happy personality. After a bad day of traveling he was able to lighten the situation, completely. Keurig coffee - delicious! And noise was so minimal as to almost be nonexistent

We showed at 3pm and were told check in is at 4, but it’s our policy to offer you the room now for 24$ more. That is the first I have heard someone say this in 40 years traveling. Most hotels bend over backwards to accommodate people who arrive before check-in. The room was ready, why charge more? The room itself was mediocre and smelled of 20-years ago smoke and some awful fragrance. Besides that it was fine. Paid 250 for a 75$ experience, stay elsewhere.

The bathroom was clean and updated. The beds were comfortable. Only concern was the sliding door on the first floor locking mechanism was broken. We had to move rooms. The staff was very friendly and moved us to another room quickly. We also enjoyed breakfast at the attached diner.

Halls crooked, walls & ceiling peeling. Guest book in room said to call if you DON'T want cleaning service. Never came once in 5 days. Front desk has a statement on sign in paper saying they don't unless requested but check in person said, "You don't need to fill it all out, just fill in car make & sign the bottom". Not explained, didn't see it was opposite what in-room directions said. Plus side, bed & pillows super comfortable & handy location. Tried to load photos of all the damage we saw but button to load photos didn't work.

The hotel is in good location, next to a great diner with many customers. I like they have the complimentary coffee at the lobby. However, the hotel is a bit outdated, the room that I was staying had very bad smell. Housekeeping is on request basis which I didn’t know about that. Housekeeping is throwing away trash, they don’t vacuum or clean the room. I killed a mosquito in the bathroom shower and the dead body was still there after 5 days and I eventually cleaned myself. The swimming pool is so rundown like built in the 70’s with small sharp pebbles surrounding the pool. My son had got cut on his foot when he came out of the pool. All doors supposed to be locked and only open with guest key card. However, they keep the pool side door opened and anyone can access from the pool to guest room. The guest laundry has 2 washers and dryers but one of the dryers requires 2 cycles to fully dry my laundry, in other words, I needed to pay double to dry my laundry.
