Elevator not working. For a hotel totaling $600/night there is no excuse for this. Got notification from my Amex that I was also charged for two instead of one night of deposit. I now feel so uncomfortable about this place. I am told it will come out tomorrow when I check out.

The first couple of nights the noise and music outside lasted til way past midnight making it difficult to sleep. The heavy weight of the room doors cause a huge slamming noise every time you go in and out. When neighbors are coming home all hours of the night, it literally jolts you out of bed! On our first morning there the one and ONLY elevator to the guest rooms broke and was never fixed our entire 4 day stay. All we got from the front desk was apologies for the inconvenience. Since our room was on the 4th floor we had to climb and descend 4 flights of stairs every time we came and went. It is literally ridiculous for a hotel of this stature to have only one accessible elevator to all guest floors. How does this meet code? Our bags had to be brought down on the “dumb waiter” the morning we left. For the price this hotel charges, you would expect a lot more. Next time we visit Portland we will find alternative lodging.

The elevator did not work, so we had to haul luggage up and down stairs. The staff was sorry, and realize this stuff happens. I think complimentary drink would have been a nice gesture. Also, fir the price of the hotel, it would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room

The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the room was very clean. The only complaint we had was the elevator was broken all three days we were there. Having rheumatoid arthritis made it hard to go up and down the stairs.

Fantastic location. Beautiful hotel - clean and very comfortable. Hint!! No need to order breakfast if you only need a continental. This lovely hotel offers floor service (not at lobby) - which has pastries, yogurt, fruit, drinks, and more… wonderful!

Nice hotel. The room had a great view and a very comfy bed. It was in the middle of everything. Staff was friendly. You have to walk a country mile with your luggage in tow through a casino, the Hard Rock Cafe, and an arcade to get to the seemingly hidden elevators to the hotel. Overall, a very good stay. We would stay there again without hesitation.

This was the most disappointing hotel stay I have in a very long time. The descriptions and reviews of this hotel do not match what was presented when we arrived. The section of the hotel we had a room was away from the main hotel. There was a convoluted set of hallways to reach our room. The room was the most bazar set up from the entryway to the French doors into the bathroom to the sliding panels that opened the shower up to the bedroom itself. All the furniture was tired and more than well used. My initial impression was "college dorm room" but it only got stranger as we walked into the room. Light switches were hard to locate and figure out how to use. At to top it off, the drag racing taking place at street level was loud. This was an extremely overpriced room. The couple we traveled with were located in a newer or refreshed area where their room was a normal setup, than would be expected from a hotel room. Unfortunately, it too had very well used furniture and the shower was dirty. I would NOT recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

Enjoyed our stay! The hotel is close to everything in old port. In fact, it’s walkable to the shops, restaurants, and sites in old port. Loved the pantry in every floor where water, seltzers, granola bars, cookies, pastries, candy, as well as tea and coffee are offered complimentary! The outdoor area has a fire pit and relaxing spots to chill and relax. We had breakfast there twice and the food offerings were really delicious though service was a bit slow. Overall, we would stay there again

Beware of additional charges - exploitative.
Exploitative. Hotel is already quite expensive for the stay, however, upon arrival they will further charge you 45$ per night to park your car and an additional 35$ ‘amenity’ charge for their hotel - this is an additional $80 a night they squeeze out of you. The 45$ ‘valet’ service is also not valet, as they just hand the key to you and tell you where your car is which on occasion was in a car park across the street. Hotel is in a good location and decent condition but feels like they are trying their best to exploit and overcharge people. There are other hotels in same area which are much better value.
