Heron's Perch has a spacious bedroom with a large picture window that overlooks a garden. A palatial bathroom features a separate shower and soaking tub, and enclosed commode. A foldout desk, lovely settee, small dining table, flat screen TV make this a nice little home away from home. There's also a fridge, microwave oven and Keurig coffee maker. Dish-ware, linens and other essentials needed for longer-term stays are included.
The space
Robin’s Nest is expressly designed to be casually relaxed and personable. It is infused with sprightly color and eclectically furnished with family heirlooms to blend a touch of nostalgia with contemporary comfort and convenience. The home was built in 2006 and renovated in 2017 to ensure our guests have a completely enjoyable experience.
Guest access
Two guest studios are all located on the second floor. Common areas open to all are the front gardens where guests are invited to relax and enjoy tumultuous flowering blooms. The main floor is my private residence.
Other things to note
Amenities include individual room temperature control, bedside reading lamps, sound buffering shades, black out curtains, USB outlet for additional electronics, emergency flashlight, extra pillows and blankets.
Late-night owls and early birds staying at the Nest should all be able to get the rest they need. Quiet hours are from 9:30 pm to 7:00 am.
We are an eco-friendly business. We renovated the building using bamboo flooring and low VOC paints. Old appliances were replaced with new energy-efficient models. We use compact fluorescent bulbs in most light fixtures. Thermal insulated shades and blackout curtains are on all bedroom windows. We try, with our guests’ assistance, to keep laundry to a minimum and we use biodegradable cleaners. We do not use pesticides in our gardens or anywhere on the property. Our goal is to set a high standard of service, while impacting the earth as little as possible.
