I stayed for one night at this nearby property to the airport after a flight cancelation. This hotel seems primary set for Cubans, all memos are written either in Spanish or English. Our room had many flies even with air conditioning, a standard 2 star property. Customer service there was awful not certain if it was simply because we were a Haitian couple but you could tell the service we were receiving was different from the tourist coming from Cuba. I did feel it was important to leave a review mostly in regards to my experience with breakfast. The hotel stay came with breakfast, we were denied breakfast and were advised that the only breakfast they offered was made with Cuban spices and Haitian do not eat the food and this was mentioned to us after 30 minutes waiting for eggs and bread that they initially said we were receiving. Now they did not know I am a travel agent by profession and I travelled to Cuba and I have experienced Cuban food first hand and never had any issues. I also want to press the issue that this location has nothing to do with Cuba, as Cuban hospitality is top in the Caribbean and this is a poor representation of anything Cuban. No I would never go back to this property mainly because I find it ridiculous for a hotel to be in Haiti and have nothing for the Haitians, it was really hard to ear this words ’’Haitians do not eat here’’; besides being borderline racist, I would never say Canadians don’t eat here while in Canada (home town). We simply left.
