The Hen House is a cozy vacation home for enjoying the truly tranquil surroundings this place has to offer. Located on the coast between Port Angeles and Sequim, you have easy and convenient access to the Olympic Mountains, National Parks, and local attractions. If you choose to stay close to home, you have a private trail with beach access, about a 5 min hike along the creek to a lagoon, where the creek meets the Strait of Juan de Fuca. If you stay indoors, you have many amenities including WiFi, cable TV, washer/dryer, kitchen dishes and utensils. It is equipped with everything you will need to stay for a weekend or even for a month at a time. It has clean, late model appliances including a glass top range and a dishwasher and all of the cooking utensils, cookware, dishes and glassware that you will need to fully enjoy your meals. You will want to barbecue outdoors on the grill and share your meals on the porch watching the sunsets and the wildlife that is all around. The cozy, comfortable couch is perfect for relaxing indoors and enjoying the T.V. and stereo or just reading a good book. The quality front loading laundry set is there for your convenience and the bathroom offers a garden tub as well as a shower. The queen size bed and the single bed in the second bedroom will accommodate three people very comfortably.

You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles.

The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.

There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.

The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Hen House.

Great place to stay!
This rental was a great place to stay during our trip to the Pacific Northwest. We went to the scenic overlook our first evening to watch an incredible sunset over the water. I was also privileged to see an owl peacefully sitting in a tree next door one morning. This rental was a great place to hang out after a day of spending time at the national park or hanging out in port Angeles

Private getaway with eagle's nest
Quiet mobile home park with friendly neighbors and an eagle's nest--didn't see eagles there but saw some at the beach! Owner was very responsive when we needed some kitchen equipment and when I left something behind I really needed.

Best stay ever in a trailer
The property is an 80 foot fully equipped trailer in a great location. Host was extremely helpful and friendly. Very quiet area with, t times, some very friendly deer chowing down about 20 feet away . Also two very private trails available. One along a half mile stretch of beach and the other on top of a 300 foot high bluff overlooking Juan de Fuca strait.

Great place with a stunning beach
An absolutely magical place to stay. Deer were walking through the neighborhood at all hours of the day. The beach is a five minute walk, and incredibly calm and quiet. Home was very comfy, though perhaps not suited for those with alektorophobia.

Beautiful place
We really enjoyed the central location to all of the Olympic National parks. It was quiet and serene. The deer that roam the property are really something. The eagles nest with the 2 baby eagles were great also! The beach access reminds me of a little escape to something so unexpected before reaching the beach! We had a lovely time and hope to go back again.

What I liked? It was peaceful and quiet and had all the necessary items required for the stay. What I didn’t like? The cleanliness was subpar, we saw a rat in the kitchen under the oven and dishwasher area. I also saw spiders in the bathroom attached to the room at the front (the one with twin bed) Also one of the doors of the front bathroom doesn’t lock properly.

Peaceful trailer in beautiful area
We were blown away by the beauty that surrounds this trailer park. It provided a quiet and serene place for us to come back to after a day of exploring. Hurricane Ridge was so close to here. Lake Crescent, Forks, Bogachiel Rainforst, Port Townsend, and several waterfalls were within an hour and a half or so drive. The Sunny Farms grocery store was perfect for us and had the most fresh chicken we’ve ever had. We cooked most of our dinners here and it was well stocked with everything we needed. The nature trails to the overlook were nice, though a bit hard to access if you have any mobility issues. We attempted to go down to the beach, but it was too steep even for our 40 something bodies. My husband made it down quite a bit, but decided to come back up. I made it down until there was a very large step that I couldn’t safely make it down (and back up). We loved the deer and the babies that greeted us throughout the days. They were so fun to watch!! The beds were comfortable and the tub was nice to soak in after a day of hiking. Our 19 year old son loved sitting on the veranda off the second bedroom and enjoying the peaceful view. There are a few suggestions we have for upkeep, but we will contact the owners directly as they didn’t impede on our stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this property if you aren’t looking for an upscale property and want a safe and quiet place for a home base while exploring ONP.

Our stay in Port Angeles
Loved the property, the beautiful hiking trails, the mountain views and that we could hear the waves at night. The accommodations were a bit more rundown than expected (new mattresses would help), but overall it was cozy and had the added benefit, for us, of being within walking distance of family.

The property is an older trailer in a wonderful spot along the coast line. All of the other trailers are very well kept with manicured lawns with lots of deer grazing around the property. The inside of the trailer is definitely dated to the 70's and 80's but everything works and the appliances are fairly updated. Extremely clean inside and out. The location is excellent for walking and hiking. And it is extremely laid back and quiet in this area. Close to two towns (about 15 minutes to either one.) We had a wonderful time staying here and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. If you are looking for a comfortable, safe, quiet, and convenient location then this is a great choice.

It is as shown in the pictures. The mobile was older but clean. It is on a dirt road, which usually means a lot of dust, but they had everything nice and tidy. The shower in the master needed tightening as it leaked. I left a note. These things happen. It was well stocked with dishes, cookware, towels, fans (it got hot and these were nice to have). The park itself is super clean and quiet. Perfect for walks or just relaxing. So many deer! There was a bald eagle we saw a few times. If you book an older mobile home and complain, its on you. It really is as pictured. My only concern was thw beach access. It would have been nice to know it was a bit of a challenge to walk. Both my sisters have mobility issues and it would have been out of the question. Just the stairs at the beginning, though a hand raiil is provided, are quite steep. I am a hiker and it was fine for me, but many people could not handle this trail. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. I took picks heading back up from the beach. I will see ot it lets me post. Hard to tell from the picks how narrow some of it is or hapw steep some of the steps are. Over all, i would stay here again. Just plan on driving to a different beach access, of you have mobitily issues.

Cozy Stay near Olympic
This is a great place to vacation near Olympic National Park and Forks. This VRBO had everything we needed and the process of checking in and out is very simple. We loved that the host gave access to several trails around the home, one leading to the ocean. This was a nice touch for those visiting the area to enjoy the outdoors!

Don’t hesitate to book this property
We stayed 3 nights while hiking in the area. It is a little outside of Port Angeles but not an inconvenience at all. When we got back in the evenings, we enjoyed walking the trails right there and the beach access was incredible with amazing sunsets. We are avid hikers and have stayed in many rentals and this has been one of our favorites so far. More than enough room for the 3 of us (husband and 17 year old). Well stocked, didn’t need a thing. The extra bathroom was such a plus. Very comfortable. The deer that greeted us every morning and evening—divine. You won’t regret booking this property and a huge thank you to the host for sharing it.
