Our suite provides a bright, modern living space with A/C to enjoy your stay in the heart of Vancouver Island- in the Alberni Valley, which allows to explore our beautiful island with day trips to Pacific Rim National Park, Ucluelet, Tofino, Qualicum Beach, Parksville, Nanaimo and Victoria. Enjoy views of the Mt. Arrowsmith and the Alberni inlet from your living and bed rooms. Located within five minute walk are Grocery Superstore, BC Liquor Store, Shoppers Drug Mart and numerous fast food restaurants for your convenience. Harbor Quay and Victoria Quay restaurants and stores are within 15-20 minute walking distance to which you can cycle to on the dedicated Quay to Quay cycling/walking trail. Due to our central location some traffic noise is to be expected, however minimized by our high-efficiency sound insulating windows.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be within walking distance of Dry Creek Park. The vacation home includes amenities such as free WiFi and a kitchen.

Lovely stay
Tom, place was just as the pictured showed. It was exceptionally clean. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything that we needed. A super bonus was the coffee for our first morning, and I especially appreciated a couple of plastic containers to allow us to bring healthy meals on our daily hikes. The location suited us well; it was close to all the amenities and had easy access to the main road that took us on all our adventures. Having some additional cooking essentials on hand would have been great, such as a few spices and cooking oil. Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would return.

A weekend getaway
We had a very nice welcome when we arrived at the place by Tom the rooms was light and quite spacious and the kitchen were keep immaculately clean. Tom is very friendly. Excellent property and convenient location. We had two great evenings there, which obviously also added up to the experience. He made it sure you have a comfortable stay.

Couldn’t ask for more!
We stayed at Tom’s place while visiting our family in PA. The place is exactly as shown- extremely clean and airy with all and any amenities you can ask for. The attention to detail is everywhere from wall mirrors (our granddaughter loved it), clock radios with USB port, (very much appreciated) and plush towels. Highly recommend and would stay there again.

great renovated home, nice touches
very nicely renovated apartment with thoughtful touches, such as kitchen under-counter lighting, USB charging ports in nightstand lights, cool window shades. Loved the central AC. Kitchen well equipped. Double paned windows helped to muffle street noise (house fronts a main road). Wifi worked great. Tom is in the process of making upgrades to the exterior which would make the outdoor area more useable. Benjamin the gentle giant of a St Bernard/Bernese mountain dog is a sweetheart. Tom lives right in the building and is very responsive. I even accompanied him and Ben on one of their morning walks. Definitely would stay here again.

Great central island location
Tom was a great host and was very flexible with our arrival time, as we were unsure of our ferry time and what we wanted to see beforehand. He made some great suggestions for things to do in the area and where to eat. We had dinner at Bare Bones fish restaurant. I’d travel back to Port Alberni just to eat there! We couldn’t find accommodation in Tofino or Uculet, so Tom’s place was a good place to stay for our day trip to the coast. It took about 2 hours to get there though. The apartment was outfitted with a great TV and comfortable living area for the 4 of us adults. The kitchen was perfect for the meals we made and everything was new and in good working order. The only minor thing was the grill, which we had intended to use. It was a little too small for a family BBQ, so we had to change our meal plans a little. A very pleasant stay overall.

Comfortable Suite in Vancouver Islands Deep Port City
My wife and I recently stayed at Tom’s suite while on a driving trip on the Island. From Port Alberni we were able to do a day trip to Uculet and Tofino, our primary destination. The host, Tom, was great. He offered a flexible check in time, a comprehensive walk through of the suite, and when we discovered we weren’t able to watch a CFL game we were interested in ( as there isn’t cable on site but there is Netflix) he actually offered his iPad and personal connection so we could do so. Tom was very intent on making our stay a good one! Upon arriving at the house that the suite is in, we were initially a bit worried as from the exterior it can be seen the house is a bit older. However the suite itself, while not fancy, was updated, clean and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Well maybe everything except air conditioning, as when we were there there were some record breaking temperatures. The fan supplied definitely helped and I think in temperatures under 30 Deg C the fan and open windows would keep guests comfortable. The kitchen was reasonably equipped, but was missing a few items normally supplied elsewhere like paper towel, aluminum foil and stretch wrap. Cheap so we supplied from the grocery store a couple blocks away. There’s also a liquor store and a pharmacy in the same block. All in all we enjoyed our stay, and would stay again when our travels take us to Port Alberni!
